1Medini Hub is the first commercial place in Medini. The commercial area spans over 2 floors that occupied by VISTRA (international company headquarter in Hong Kong and Luxembourg) and BRANDT International. Other than that, visitor can visit here during weekdays to several good restaurant at the ground floor of the place namely 1. Gayatri @ Medini (Northern Indian Cuisine) 2. Bottom UP (Wine and Bar) 3. Gourmet Trail, Marketplace & deli (Western food, and western grocery store) 4. Point (Convenience Store) 5. Leia's Kopitiam (Malaysian-inspired restaurant serves Malaysian and local dishes)

So here’s my experience staying in 1medini for a month. The security is not up to standard. Anyone can access to the lift because the access card is NOT WORKING! They totally DO NOT DESERVE security fees given that the security is not promising. Also the management time is VERY INFLEXIBLE. I’m a uni student. I have class ALMOST EVERY DAY (Sunday is the only day I’ve got no class)! In fact, my class starts before the management department is opened and end after the management department closing time. And guess what? The department is closed on Sunday. I lived alone. It is so inconvenience. Fortunately this Saturday my class ended before the management closing time. So I went to talk to them about my unifi arrangement on the Sunday. And their reply is the management department is closed on Sunday. Please move the WiFi installation to another day. But when I called the WiFi guy, he told me they already settled this matter. So what now? Is it a okay or not? The management said they will not allow any WiFi installation without goin through the management. And they actually advise me to skip class for the WiFi installation on weekdays.

I have been a regular diner at one of the eateries in this hub for the past 8-9 months. When I say regular, it means 3-4x a month, be it lunch or dinner. Parking was never a problem; it was fairly easy to find a lot in the 15 ish open air parking lots. If the open air parking lots were full (not that many to begin with and I am not referring to basement parking) I could leave my car at the side/shoulder of these parking lots and grab a quick meal. Quick in and out. It was also possible to park along a narrow public road that was parallel to the driveway of the hub. There was no disturbance of any sort previously. Lately, I noticed that the security guards @ 1 Medini Hub are strictly patrolling and have chased away cars which are not in a parking lot. What has changed? The hub has a basement parking and the parking rates are decently priced. But there is no passenger lift to transport people from UG to G floor. Which means you will have to walk up the flight of stairs. This becomes inconvenient for family diners who have toddlers/young children. To add to that, there are now traffic police (we are not talking about the municipal officers) who come to issue summons to those cars parked along main roads. Desperation perhaps to fill up their parking fee coffers by leaving patrons with little choice but to park in the basement parking? The stiff parking rules and enforcement at this hub is a far cry from that of Puteri Harbour where the latter offers plenty of indoor parking at NO CHARGE, 2 entry points of passenger lifts plus there being lots of people who park alongside the main roads without running into traffic police. Update Oct 2018: Since my last review, I just want to give update. The parking problem has been resolved. The security guards left me alone when I drove around and parked my car :) I have been back the past few weeks and I noticed it is now very easy to park. No hassle like what it used to be previously. It is all good now.
