Nice villa and impeccable service. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend for couples/small families for a relaxing time away from city life.

Pros: Views Cons: Restaurant is up the steepest hill possible and if you're walking you're going to die on the way up. Food was lacking flavor. Especially for the price. I ordered a whole fish and it tasted like nothing. Very disappointing.

Where do I even begin with my review. With the options to travel abroad for our honeymoon limited, I searched around and stumbled upon Ambong Ambong Pool Villas. As I reflect back on our stay there, it was probably the best decision that we both made as our stay there was absolutely perfect. We stayed there for 5 Days & 4 Nights for our Honeymoon and it was probably the most relaxing, comfortable, and amazing stay we have ever had. What defines Ambong and separates them from the rest is their FIRST CLASS SERVICE. If we were to go another place, we would just be another guest. The team which consist of Putra, Lee, Aiman, Darleena, Zafirah, and of course En. Hazmie (Who made our romantic dinner and breakfast everyday so so special). The entire team was excellent. Temoyong Pool Villa was superb and it gave us the peace, privacy and relaxation that we were after. The Villa was clean, amazingly designed, and well maintained. The pool was so nice and the view of the Andaman Sea was magnificent. Temoyong had no monkeys and that was a big relieve for us. The food in Ambong was simply spectacular (They made us realize again how blessed we Malaysians are to have such good food in our culture. The Nasi Lemak is the best). The AMAALA Spa was also something that was simply delightful. Ms. Suzy & Ms. Zoey provided us with an amazing spa and massage experience. In Conclusion, Ambong Ambong is a top notch resort and you will never regret making the decision to choose to stay here. I know for a fact that we will be returning there one day and its only just a matter of when. Thank you Mr, Amran and your team for making our Honeymoon special.

Ever since we first laid eyes on Ambong Pool Villas online, we knew that we simply would have to stay there one day. That day eventually arrived and we headed there for our anniversary - and to be honest, with some mild lowered expectations because of some of the reviews. Fortunately, anything and everything we needed and wanted crossed off our list was gracefully delivered by Ambong. As a rather intimate and private place with limited villas, one would expect great service. And true enough, every step of the way, from dealing with Akane and Zafirah for our reservations to checking in, making requests and adjustments to certain plans, exceptional service was provided! What we really appreciated was the smooth flow of communication among the Ambong Pool Villas team. As someone who appreciates punctuality and plans taking place on time, this really added to the relaxation and just enjoying our stay, absolutely worry-free. From our cooking class with the talented Chef Amin to our spa sessions at Amaala, breakfast and massages at the villa, requests for extra cutlery or to help collect what remains after we've feasted, it all went according to plan and smoothly. Even the utensils and appliances provided in the villa were super useful and sufficient for all our basic needs. The food was tasty too, especially the Seafood Spaghettini Marinara and Udang Masak Lemak. The Western breakfast while simple, was also really good and we had it for both days. And what needs to be said about the Villa itself? Sawak was our choice, and we were blessed to be visited by a Hornbill, the shy and rare black giant squirrel and a Dusty Leave monkey too. Add hawks and eagles gliding in the background, the overly curious (and hungry) Macaques, all sorts of other birds and a fantastic sunset view from the comfortable bedroom, and really, our stay was nothing short of perfection. I'm rather bad with names, so besides Akane, Zafirah, Lee, Chef Amin & Suzie, we would also like to thank everyone else who made this trip so comfortable and relaxing for us. We will definitely be back :)

We’d come again in a heartbeat. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day 2 night stay at the Ambong Pool Villa. The photos displayed are accurate to the villa except that the villa is potentially better. Architecturally great layout and well thought out from construction to finish. We were recommended by my sister in law who stayed 2-3 months ago. The staff at this boutique restaurant remembered her and her friends staying. This speaks to the friendly and personal nature of the staff at ambong. Admittedly, it may not strike 10/10 for refinement, precise efficiency or clean cut lines but we much prefer the local, friendly and down to earth staff at Ambong as opposed to automated responses at typical hospitality establishments. Food was great and delivered to the villas tidily. Where we accidentally put glass bottles of water into the freezer which broke, the house keeping team were ever so kind to manage these incidents. Mentions to Hakeem and Jam Lee who were outstanding. Also to the Amaala spa team who looked after us so well. The WhatsApp liaison is also an asset to the team as they responded promptly and professionally throughout the planning. Lastly this is indeed a quieter get away, with a local beach (which is a walk) and several eateries. A good opportunity to refresh and relax.

This is by far the best pool villa in Malaysia and I truly enjoyed my stay up until the last day. I would have given a 5 star rating but what happened during my last day was very upsetting. I ordered room service before checking out at noon, it was around 10am when I ordered through the resort manager Taner. At around 11am I followed up asking where is the food as I’m planning to leave at noon. He was silent, I tried calling him but he rejected my call. When I got upset he kept telling me the restaurant hasn’t prepared my food since they thought it’s a lunch order. He put the blame solely on the restaurant. The blame should have been on him, as the manager he should have informed me the food item was a lunch menu and cannot be served immediately. He did not try to comfort but rather just walked off, didn’t even bother to check me out and left me to wonder at the counter alone until some other staff came. I would have accepted this behaviour if this is a 2 star motel, but for a luxurious place like Ambong Pool, this behaviour is appalling, it’s unfortunate the top notch villa facilities cannot be complemented with top notch staff service. I would recommend the villa but pls replace your resort manager.

Apart from its closeness to nature where one can sit observe the wildlife such as families of dusky leaf monkeys playing on the nearby tree tops and hornbills hopping on tree branches literally within arm’s reach, the food and staff are fantastic. Everything at breakfast were served fresh. Fruit juices were freshly blended and or squeezed, not from cartons! Food servings were generous and placed on the table with a.smile each time ? Not everything about the hardware is perfect but the staff definitely makes up for it… ?
