β β β β β This really is the "go-to" place if you are looking for books on heritage and culture. They have a wide range of topics and books available in the store. They also have a website which makes it easy to order books even if you are not in Penang. Highly recommended!

β β β β β A boutique book store tucked in the alleys of George Townβs heritage trail. The selection of books focuses mainly on Malaysia and its history. Picked up two interesting books on my way out but if I had the capacity I might buy another 4-5 more titles !

β β β β β Great local bookstore at Acheen St. Worth visit for local and foreigner tourists alike who wish to dwell deeper in local social, political, cultural & historical development.
They are publisher for niche titles on local/regional history. Besides they do cater books from university publishers such as NUS, USM, UUM etc.
They have a sleeping cat with a bell wind around their neck when they move. So donβt get surprised by their sudden but infrequent movement.

β β β β β A quaint little private local bookstore albeit with limited book selections. Here you can easily find books published by local authors and books about Penang and Malaysian history. The lady (whom I assume is the owner) was very nice and friendly. I would come back again.
