★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went out of my way to visit Ruas whilst in Penang and so delighted that I did. Not the biggest record store in the world but what they lack in floor space they make up for in genuine hospitality. A good selection of Punk and local bands are on offer at relatively bargain prices (relative to the Aussie dollar}. The owner was really helpful and sincerely appreciative of me visiting. He was accommodating too, opening late to ensure I was able to shop prior to flying out. Highly recommended if you are in Penang!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owners are awesome hobbyists. Lots of local punk and metal music. Found a true vinyl gem that the owner wasn't even aware of. If collecting records is your hobby, you'd enjoy talking to the owners and if you're lucky, they'll show you their personal collection. We visited Penang from KL and went out of our way to visit this shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happened to be in Penang last week and found this small but interesting music shop near Komotar center. Selling CDs, vinyls and even cassettes. Managed to find quite a number of gems and best of all at a very reasonable price tag. If u are happen to be there for a short gateaway why not drop by and pay them a visit. U will never know what u can find there. Kudos Ruas Record

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner's so nice and friendly. Great collection of old records, cassette, cd's and LPs, along with affordable and interesting merchandise like T-shirt's, books and keychains. There's also a nice cafe at the back of the record's store for you to chill out and have fun. Great taste of music. Quite close to Art Street.
