Despite their poster on the wall showing a free detergent and softener, there are small notice on the vending machine stated no more free detergent. Not recommended self service laundry. Please avoid.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They no longer provide detergent but the ‘signs’ put up are VERY CONFUSING. Out of the 5 washing machines, there are only 3 machines with a sign (A4 paper) taped directly above the machine saying that there’s no detergent.
Note the arrow pointing directly downwards at the machine, logic dictates that this means the machines without these signs above them DO have detergent. To each their own.
The wall decals promoting free detergent/softeners are still left up pretty prominently. And the button for ‘with detergent’ is still accessible on the machines. Wouldn’t hurt to tape over those to avoid any confusion, simple fix right?
When I approached the owner or whoever who’s managing their WhatsApp account; I was at the receiving end of excuses (claims of non-existent signs beside the vending machine, I checked there were none) and comments like ‘no point arguing about this’. I’m attaching the screenshots of the conversation to be transparent.
I’m no customer service expert but that would be the absolute last thing I’ll ever say to a disappointed customer that has been inconvenienced by my business’ shortcomings. Anyway, credit where credit is due I did get a refund pretty quickly and the owner did come around to put up some new signs but still what a waste of my time.
I now have to take my laundry elsewhere, wasted another RM5 (had to use the dryer since my clothes were wet already) and it’s disappointing that businesses don’t respond more positively or focus on resolutions when they could be doing better. A different response would’ve earned them a satisfied customer but yeah, I’ll happily drive to another place the next time around.
