★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The day was a Wednesday, 4th May 2022, we traveled a bit for our dinner. We chose this eatery because of the variety. I would consider this place a viable option.
We tried out a few items. They weren't bad. Bak Kut Teh (6/10) and CKT (6.5/10) were good enough. The bean sprouts was fine. The Hainan toast (with Butter and Coconut jam) (5.5/10) was good enough too. Iced Hainan Tea was slightly above average.
The price would be slightly on the high side, expected because of the location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the very walkable and scenic Plaza Arkadia, Big Hawker is a nice stop for affordable and familiar eats.
It felt good to have a dining option that isn't overly fancy, when you just want something to quench your midday hunger.
Overall the food was okay, maybe the chef needs to take a little risk and turn the temp higher to give it the real "char" and wok hei, but aside from that the food and service were amicable.
Can't complain, would return.
Big Hawker is recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If (like me) you want to enjoy hawker food without spicy smoke in your hair and the threat of a cat (or mouse?) rubbing up against your ankles, then this is the place to go.
The prawns in the premium CKT delivered a satisfying crisp crunch, and the ‘bian nyk’ in their signature Xin Ron dish was delicious.
If you’re driving here, the first hour of parking is free..in case you need the extra push ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit. Order the charkueytiao as take away. Was quite nice for me with the generous amount of eggs. Not a bad try. Place otherwise has nice ambience but crowd was still there despite already after peak hour ( around 2pm i went). Shall say, well still worth a try. Will come again to try other food. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried Keoy Teow at the stated price is not too cheap as quality is below par despite it should be signature dish.
The mixed pork porridge is up to mark but the portion is too small for the price.
Pork noodle soup average but can try.
Overall experience is average to poror.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The environment is simple slightly warm as there is no fan or air-conditioning. It relies on natural wind to cool the place down.
Order wise is simple, the staffs are friendly and attentive as well.
Food wise tried the char kuey teow. It was good and had reasonable amount of taste. It didn't scream wow but it has its own flavor that makes good to eat.
Pork noodle soup was good also. It has a reasonable flavor with pepper and a tinge of MSG. Filling wise, the ratio of noodles and meat is slightly lesser than expected. Maybe more minced pork will make it nicer.
Kopi ping is nice has the nice bitter coffee after taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a morning of work, remembered my golfer buddy suggested this place. Just drop in to sample some of the dishes that I normally fancied if I visit hawker centres……..was kind of intrigued by the ambiance and the simplistic interior yet comfortable and inviting. Took the liberty of ordering my favourite zhu chap juk (mix pork porridge with additional fried intestine). Flavourful yet carries “mom’s cooking”, the fried noodles with the correct rawness to its cockles is exquisite and mouthwatering. The curry noodles is acceptable but nothing to shout about, maybe next time I would bring my own char siew or roast pork/Siew yoke ????? overall was not disappointed even with the name like PREMIUM the price was acceptable!!! Give it a try if you are in Plaza Arkadia DPC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THE WORST KIND OF RESTAURANT ONE WOULD NEVER EXPECT FROM A HIGH END PLACE AS SUCH.
We visited the restaurant on 18th May 2022.
One of the reasons we visited the restaurant was because it was near to our meeting place and also there was only 1 table of customer. We were rather hungry and need a quick bite.
When we gotten our table and wanting to order,
the young waiter and waitress ignore us. The waitress even slept on the table and played on the phone. Only 1 waitress (worked at counter) was spotted serving customers.
We ordered:
a. 2x steam chicken rice
b. 2x hainan tea
c. 1x steam garlic lady finger
To our horror, both plates of steam chickens were in deep-yellowish colored. We asked the waiter who served us why were the chickens in deep-yellowish as if they were being cooked with other sauce before or they were not cooked properly, he told us that he was not sure and kitchen said steam chicken was like that - deep yellowish color!
And then, we reliased the chickens were STONE COLD!
Obviously it was not cooked and was placed in freezer beforehand!
The meat was in pink-red colored with blood oozed out from it.
We called the waiter and he agreed to change us a new plates.
5 min later, we were being served with the original 2 plates of chickens!
The plates were warm but the chicken remain COLD~
Evidently, they just dump the plates into microwave for reheat purpose.
And then, the steam garlic lady finger was BLACK COLORED!
It was overcooked~
Completely soft, mushy, uneatable!
We went to the counter to complain and demand to speak to the manager. But the waitress refuse saying the manager was not around. She demanded us to make full payment and would report our case to the manager and call us back.
But she never collected our contacts at all!
We filed an immediate report at their Facebook.
2 days waiting, still no one contact us.
We had stomachache, diarrhea and mild vomiting that night after their food. Just 3 spoons we ate and we already suffering these symptoms. Imagine if a child who did not know anything about cooking and consume such quality of food! I cannot imagine at all.
If you would like to try UNCOOKED CHICKEN AND OVERCOOKED LADY FINGER with the worst kind of service, please visit them! Very irresponsible~
