This kopitiam serves Sarawakian noodles and rice dishes. They have the Belacan Behoon that's a Sarawak special. Had it when I was in Kuching. I ordered kanpua noodle and it tastes good. Noodle texture is el dante and the gravy is just nice.

mee kolok texture is correct, but its too salty. the soup that comes with it is also salty so i cant water down the saltiness. three layer tea (gula apong at the bottom) is super sweet. mee jawa noodles were yellow noodles (different), soup was more watery, slightly spicy and it wasnt sweet.

Laksa is great, even though the sambal is not authentic. Kampua is acceptable but the pork soup isnt fresh and overcooked. Ventilation isn't good and there's mosquitoes as well. There's alot of offerings in the menu so may give it another chance for fry cook Noodle. Tomato Noodle etc.

[updated due to second visit] [First Visit Comments] Legit tasting sarawak laksa, kolo mee and kampua mee… Laksa was flavorful with a lighter broth that went well with the sambal. The accompanying egg was deep fried and fluffy - nice… Kolo / kampua Noodles cooked al dente and delicately flavored by chicken stock and pork oil (not salty at all) - in fact palate wise, may be a little light for KL taste. Little to no MSG used (was not left thirsty after meal). Soup was abit salty but good combo. The innards (add on) in the kolo mee was gamey - I wld give this a pass. Teh si was legit gao. Overall good stuff. Atmosphere wise, there Cld be stray dogs roamin around, sit inside the shop if you do not want to be bothered. Spacing between tables is good. [Second Visit Comments] The kampua mee we ordered came out different! Shop apparently said changed supplier… or perhaps there are two types of kampua mee… But this time, the Kampua mee definitely looked more like softer kolo mee… tasted ok but definitely not the kampua mee taste as they used kecap (looked more like wanton mee!!) Could be that there’s another type of kampua mee on menu… have to check this out and verify again next time… Kolo mee was still legit this round… But laksa was abit watery… to try again next time…

I have tried their Laksa Sarawak. Quite decent and unique taste of Laksa as compared with common Chinese Laksa. The price of the food and beverage are leaning towards slight expensive. Environment wise is average, it was quite hot and noisy (because of the mechanic shop just besides). This would be a good try if you want to immerse yourself in Borneo foods.

This place serves authentic Borneo food, specifically Sarawak region. Tried their Sarawak laksa. In terms of taste, it is indeed very authentic. The spices fragrant, coconut milk and chili level is just nice. After chatting with the server (which is also one of the owners), I got to know that this was newly opened back in September 2021. The team of brother and sister was previously working in a professional job which unfortunately was affected due to the pandemic situation. I'm glad they found an alternative. Will come back again to try different dishes offered here.
