I feel is a hard trail for beginners. It takes about 2and a half hours to complete the trail. Because too high. It was 2702m from the sea level. And it's takes only 1h and 20min to down to the base. Cause we are running down.

Quite a nice hike to do as long as it's not crowded (which it tends to be on the weekends). On average, if you are relatively fit, it will take you approximately an hour and a half to get up, and another hour and a half to make your way down. So budget about 3-4 hours to do this hike. There are steep parts that will challenge you, but it isn't technical. Hiking shoes are a must because the trail is muddy sometimes, and full of tree roots you could potentially twist your ankle on. As it is pretty much humid everywhere in this country, the only thing we can really control is the temperature which is cooler in the morning so I would advise starting this hike by about 8:00 a.m. The trailhead is impossible to miss because there is a big structure in front of it and you have to pay RM5 to get in. You go up and down the same trail, which is well trodded so you won't get lost. it is possible to come down the other side of the mountain but that's closed at the moment because of MCO. The view at the top is nothing to shout about because they don't really trim the tops of the trees so you can't see the entire valley in its glory. But it is a really good trail for training.

One of the very few trail heads which has a nice shelter and Toilets. You can change there after your hike. There is a ice cream seller at around 1-2 pm just nice after the hike. The hike to Gunung Angsi is short but moderate steep from this trail head. The round trip can take between 3-5 hours based on your fitness level.

Easy to moderate hike for anyone with reasonable fitness. You should be able to make it under 2 hours going up with plenty of rests in between. You can get to Gunung Angsi peak via both Bukit Putus trailhead and Ulu Bendul trailhead. Ulu Bendul trailhead currently closed (7 of Nov 2021) but Bukit Putus is still accessible. Just one natural water source during earlier part of the hike so bring a liter or two of water. The trail is trail running friendly.

Came to as a training prior to my Mulu Pinnacles trip. The journey from Petaling Jaya is around 1 hour 15 minutes. Parking is plenty, please pay for permit at the entrance before the hike. It’s RM5 per person. This is very convenient as compared to manual application at Jabatan Perhutanan. The hike itself is easy to moderate. The first 30 minutes are more inclined, but subsequently is more like trekking. The hike itself is enjoyable as it was misty, hence the hike was very breezy and cooling. Took about 2 hours to reach the peak. Remember to bring down your rubbish. Leave only memories and footprints. Happy hiking!
