★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought Chelo Appam yesterday at about 3pm for bebuka, by the time we wanted to eat at around 7.20pm, the santan sauce was already clumping, with a very pungent sour smell. To my surprise, its already not good to eat. My old parents accidentally ate them. Too bad when i called and confronted the owner, a lot of excuses and blaming me of eating it late instead and extending just one word, which is sorry. Wow, how you handle business and customers are top notch! How am i gonna buy and eat then and there when its Ramadhan month.
Definitely my first and last, better go to Yarl in TTDI OR EVEN Pasar malam TTDI does better appam. Rasa mediocre je pun.
In videos or pictures nampak je tabur banyak gula, but when we got it sikit je pun. Hampeh!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure what happened but the taste of appom today was so bad. Im sure this was not the appam i ate during my previous visit. I was having heartburn feeling throughout the night, the quality really dropped today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good although price keeps increasing. Service is bad, not enough staff to wait tables, all are cooking in kitchen. When staff came to clear, one threw used tissue on the floor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally managed to locate the famous Chelo's sweet Appam stall in Bangsar. As they are no longer located in their usual area, I have been looking for the famous 'Appam Paradise' for ages. Trust me it was so good to devour their famous dishes, the assortment of mouthwatering Appams, a huge array of local tea time kuihs, Tosai selection and the hot Puri with potato masala washing it down with a fresh mug of teh tarik. Chelo is located on the first floor of a shop outlet facing their previous stall location. Highly recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad service. No one in the shop and yet I waited 58 mins (4:12-5:10) for 2 pieces of milk appam. The guy didn't want to write down the order and after 30 mins they said they forgot my order. After 50 mins they told me wait another 10-20 mins. All for 2 pieces of Appam. No apologies. No explanation. The staff told the owner and she mumbled something in tamil and walked back into the kitchen. The service has worsen since they expanded into a shop. Tea time would usually be crowded and now it's empty. Must be for a reason.

Nice to know they have a proper big clean space now. Their appam’s and food remains the same delicious quality! It’s been my family’s favorite Tea Time for very long

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Miss this place.. the old noisy, warm version..now it’s much quieter at the first floor unit, right opp their old stall, appom still taste the superbly same.. my fav: the brown sugar appom.. nice place to snack /date on a weekend .. veg Nasi lemak..?? Curry puffs n kuih’s ?
