I have a homestay near here, and it takes about 8 minutes to drive to Qinglong Mountain. Qinglong Mountain is also called "Leidaling". Because the trees and open space of Qinglong Mountain are often struck by lightning, the villagers named it "Leidaling".
The local villagers regard Qinglong Mountain as the land of blessing and the treasure of the town and village because of the thunderstorm and lightning in Sarak, but the local villagers and buildings have never been destroyed by thunder.
Every weekend, nearby residents like to hike to Qinglong Mountain. The difficulty of climbing here is not high, and it is suitable for all ages. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the entire village and even the Petronas Twin Towers. The mountains are quite clean, with signposts, check-in areas, sports equipment, tables and chairs and even ropes to reduce the difficulty of climbing. All these depend on the selfless efforts of a group of volunteers.
I recommend this good place to VIPs at the hotel, search for Desa Petaling Hiking Trail on the map or GPS location 3.085003, 101.705040.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When there today in the morning! Love the community here. They are so friendly and helpful! As it was my first time, I was surprised to see a hiking trail right behind of many condos in Desa Petaling.
It is a 2km hiking loop. So don't worry about getting lost as you always return to where you started! It's very easy hike with mix of flat surface and forest trails, but the view across KL and nature are amazing! You get to see some squirrels and maccabees if you are lucky, especially near the abandoned wooden house.
Met with some locals and apparently it was made by the local community back in August 2020 due to MCO lockdown. Wonderful! They asked me to help taking care of this area. So anyone visiting here, do keep ourselves clean, pick up trashes and help nipping off blocking tree branches! Haha~
Don't forget. You can get to Salak South New Village (Kampung Baru Salak South) here. They have some great food too. But do check first if you need halal food.
Tips: Wear long pants if you are afraid of mosquito bites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very fun 45 min hike, with ropes and view! I would say that mosquito repellant and shoes with good grip are essentials! The ground can be very slippery and dangerous if it rain the day before.
The entrance is pretty straight forward (on your left) and you will be passing by a DIY gym into the hiking trail.
