★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I saw Dr Gan regarding impacted ear wax after swimming. He was very friendly and patient with my questions, providing explanations with images on his computer and models of the inner ear. He took photos before and after the procedure, Would definitely recommend him.

Have been follow up under him for some time already because at first I went to 2 other private hospitals and they couldn't find what was my problem. One doctor referred me to government hospital and that's how I got to know this very friendly and kind doctor. He was very thorough with his checking and manage to find out my problem. I was very happy with his explanation and treatment. I told him he is better than the other private hospital doctor. If I knew GH also got such good doctor I would have come here straight.
This time I took my 85 year old mother to see him in GH but was told that he no longer works there and started working in Island Hospital. I decided to come find him in Island Hospital(my first time here in Island Hospital). My mother complaint of ear pain for 3 days already and not getting better. Dr Gan checked her ear, nose and throat. Put the camera in, surprisingly my mother said no pain at all. I had similar experience with Dr Gan. I remember there was no pain and he is very very skillful. I personally think that he is very gentle. My mother said "lokun chin gao"(in hokkien). Payment here is very simple and easy also. Nurse also quite friendly and soft spoken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I presented to the AnE department last week with an ENT related accident. I was seen by Dr Gan who came to the hospital very promptly despite being in the middle of the night. He was extremely professional and thorough with his work. I had to undergo a nasopharyngeal laryngoscopy and I struggled massively to tolerate the procedure. Dr Gan, however, was very patient and encouraging. He managed to resolve my issue effectively and also, provided good and high quality follow up care. On top of his expertise, he was also very pleasant to speak with and offered a comprehensive explanation as to what intervention was being done and what outcome is expected; which helped massively with managing my expectation and my nerves. I am very satisfied with his service overall and I am beyond grateful for his great patient care and help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After surveying on google for the best ENT doctor, I decided to come Island Hospital because of fish bone stuck in my throat. I can barely swallow and talk properly. But this doctor is very patient with me. I must say he is exceptionally thorough with his work. He carefully checks my ear, nose then throat. To my surprise he actually managed to pull out my fish bone there and then. I wanted to say thank God but then it is this doctor that helped me pull out this nightmare. Gave me some medications and I was out on my way. The charges is really reasonable for self pay person like myself. Thumbs up to this doctor. You have my most respect. Really very kind.

I was nervous and scared at first but he’s cool and calm and very assuring. He managed to pull out the fish bone that tortured me on the spot even though he cannot see it visually. Amazing!
