★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dear Janet Gan,
I have my son signed up for the 2016 Dynabook Grade Exam by paying RM55. This was because his computer teacher said that he was one of the top 3 students in Computer skills. He is so happy and proud to be one of the chosen students for this exam and push me to give his money to sign up, so I gave him.
However, after sometimes, I found out and realised that he is not the only one of the 4 students, actually in his class, there are about more than 10 of his classmate signed up for this exam. It means teacher tell every student that he / she are the best top 3 best performance students, and requesting them to attend the exam.
After I question around the other parents, and they all told me the same thing. “Teachers told them that their son / daughter are one of the Top 3 students in Computer Skills and he / she is chosen to attend this exam”.
My concern is, your teachers are trying to meet numbers of quota and tell lies to students to attend the exam? What is the moral of being a teacher? I am very angry to hear this and I hope you can give me an answer to this.
I definitely need a good explanation either from you or from your management. If I don’t hear from you within a day or two, I will file a report to the Ministry of Education. And I hope you can keep doing this to the rest of the students so that I can collect more proof as an evidence.
