just came here for a coffee mid afternoon as the western stall open at 11am and closes about 5pm and I fancied western food. I ordered an iced coffee with no sugar. It was only Rm 1.50. Nice. There's plenty of different food stalls here. There's a guy playing music and singing during the afternoon. This is a great place to come after doing Fort Cornwallis and to hide from the sun. It's covered and there are ceiling fans.

Famous and delicious mee sotong (RM5), fish and chips(RM10) , ice kacang(RM4) and coconut shake(RM4) . Spacious seating with good air ventilation. Do take note of usual long queue for mee sotong(fried noodle with squid in not so spicy sauce)

The Hainanese Western food here is very tasty, especially the chicken chop which is crispy on the outside but tender inside. Quality is maintained over the years. Drinks stall beside it serves thick honey lemon for RM2.50. The food court, built around a huge old tree, is much nicer & cooler after renovation. Location is good for having a meal while running bank errands.

Nasi Ayam hainan and Mee pata still maintain the same great taste but coconut shake seriously need to improve, no coconut taste at all. Like you drink cold water with vanilla ice cream on top. Not recommended.

Save your stomach space and calories, and give this place a miss. More misses than hits, so why bother? What was good: coconut shake What absolutely sucked: the pasembur and mee sotong. Parking was also really tough and if you can’t find one, you’ll have to make a big loop due to the one-way street configurations. Will most definitely avoid coming back again.

One of the best place to try Penang tasty hawker food. Got variety of choice and price was reasonable. Environment was clean and staff are kind too.
