★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This kopitiam is located in a very unlikely spot in Permas Jaya. The food here is good, if u love half boiled eggs (they serve high quality eggs) and toast bread, come here for a late breakfast on any ordinary weekends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fang Yuan seems to be a popular place. The mrnu items range from breakfast items like toast, half-boiled eggs, steamed bread to one-dish meals like nasi lemak, noodles, sweet and sour pork rice etc. The prices are similar to the new style kopitiams ranging from below RM10 to below RM20 but pricier than the old style coffee shops with stalls inside. On the whole the food is ok and the kopitiam style coffee is quite good. The much lauded rendang chicken for the nasi lemak is so-so, having too-sweet gravy and the single piece served has little meat. The nasi lemak rice is quite fragrant and the chilli/sambal not too bad.
The white bread toast is rather small in size and the taste of kaya and butter/margarine indistinct. The half boiled eggs are quite good. Service is ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is okay, but don’t ever go when it’s crowded, the management is so bad! Last time we went, we waited 45 mins for food to be serve and one order was forgotten. We had to ask multiple times then wait for another 30 mins for the food to be served. Breakfast became brunch, and not to say that wasn’t the first time we experience it. The staff attitude is bad also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee is good, but service is slow, food always comes before drinks, we hv finished our main courses for breakfast then only comes the coffee even though we hv reminded the waiter a couple of times during our meal. However we had a take away nasi lemak rendang and had slight food poisoning after that. The rendang chicken does not taste fresh, tasted like overnight food. Owner need to check on food quality. But Nasi lemak itself tasted great as usual.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While waiting for my car to be serviced, I dropped by this Kopitiam juat beside the car workshop, Fang Yuan Kopitiam. Since I have my breakfast, so I called a cup off Kopi and prawn wanton soup (yummy)
Coffee is good and so is the prawn wanton. Too bad I'm full if not I'll try out the main menu. Place is not bad, ppl keep coming in for their breakfast. Will drop by again to try more of their dishes.
