β β β β β The food is pretty good here. You can tell the ramen is mostly homemade and the taste is quite satisfying. Could improve on the eggs because they're a bit cold on the inside but that's not really a big deal... it's cooked so that's what's important. Place is pretty cozy and parking isn't that painful to look for. Could enhance the menu more to include more snacks but overall a decent place and the price is ok.
Stay strong and Keep up the good work!

β β β β β Visited again after two years. They have gyozas now and supper yummy. The home made sauce that came with it - so good I could drink it. So happy thereβs also half ramen so that I can order many side dishes!
If you're going to do only one thing you got to do it well and the Fat Bird does! The ramen is springy and yummy. The BROTHS are the winners!!! I had the clear soup and hubby had the creamy one. I don't always empty my bowl but I almost did and hubby's was dry in the end. The soup takes 9 hours in the making according to their IG post. And the reason I could drink so much of the soup -- NO MSG!! The deep fried chicken and crispy chicken skin (yup) were fab. Very reasonable prices too, esp if you have a large family. For this price and quality, I'm happier with this than Ippudo. It's "no pork no lard no alcohol" and chickens were sourced from halal suppliers.

β β β β β Gyoza was great - ramen was disappointing after. The noodles were similar to instant noodles and the egg was over cooked. I would say itβs still a decent alternative to pork ramen and itβs great that this exists! Service was decent and staff were friendly.

β β β β β Good portion and the curry rice is delicious. One of the few places that serves fried chicken skin as well. Worth a visit.

β β β β β Very comfortable environment for lunch, not too crowded during peak hour. Chicken ramen with black garlic oil was something new for me and it turned out to be surprisingly good. Very flavourful soup but towards the end the garlic oil somehow overpowered the chicken broth. Karaage was very crispy and juicy too. Recommended for lunch and a place for chit chat after meal.

β β β β β On the table today is Paitan Kuro with egg and chicken (RM20), Gyoza (RM19) from @fatbirdramen at SS17. Very minimalist decor which only means one thing. Let the food for the talking. Let's get started.
The ramen is chewy but wheaty. You feel that there is a lot wheat involved and as though the wheat is still hanging on for dear life, so I do get the feedback why people think it's just normal yellow noodles. Tip: Don't takeaway and eat fresh on the spot.
The broth is creamy and the garlic bitter which is how it's supposed to taste in the first place. Thanks to the pandemic, wearing a mask means you smell what you eat especially when you belch. So I can tell you that lots of spring onions were used/crushed or blended and most probably the whole chicken with the bones have been pulverized to create the white based broth boiling for hours. The Kuro ( black garlic) wasn't strong enough though.
They of course substitute pork with chicken, I'd like to suggest using grilled or braised chicken instead of panko coated because ramen broth is not like curry. Panko soaked broth is like wet paper. The onsen egg needs to be slightly more runny and I think the seaweed sheet will bring out the taste more than sliced wood ear mushrooms.
The Gyoza was ok but needed to be more crispy, meaning more pan burnt and to be paired with stronger vinegar.
Overall the prices are not too bad, the crowd consists of subangites, service is friendly and they sell fried chicken skin as a snack ( I can't indulge in this snack no more). Is this ramen shop related to fatbaby ice cream?

β β β β β Ramen tasted way better dined in as compared to when we did take away during MCO. Fried chicken skin is so crispy and does not give the oily and cloying taste. Karaage curry rice and gyoza was good too.
