★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was known as High Court building (Banggunan Mahkamah Tinggi). Located strategically in city center and nearby to other places of interests in Alor Setar. The design and pillars has been inspired by Roman style of architecture. If you noticed the walls are decorated with Kedah state's emblem (written in Jawi or fusion of Arabic writing which says Negeri Kedah/Kedah state).
This building is now being use as a Gallery of Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim.
FYI, currently under renovation (visited on 22 Dec 2019)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Previously, it was the High Court building build in 1922. In 2007, they converted the building as a gallery to commerate the life of the previous Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah hence the namesake. Currently, as of now, it is closed for an undisclosed time for renovation. You can only walk around outside at the vicinity.
