★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The open-air cafe serves buffet lunch/dinner daily in Golden Sands Resort and we visited it one Thursday for "Around The World" buffet dinner with dishes from around the globe including seafood-on-ice, pizza, roasted chicken/beef, Roti Canai, Chinese fried rice, pasta, and many more. We almost tried all except Thai and Japanese cuisines which were scanty during our visit. Nonetheless, at the price of RM98 nett with fresh seafood in Batu Feringghi area, we really can’t complain much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Sunday lunch buffet spread is quite decent though seafood lovers will notice a lack of seafood save for a seabass fillet dish & cucuk udang.
The beef rendang is quite nice & there's chicken & vegetarian curries to go with rice or roti jala. Other main courses include pasta & dim sum but no sushi or sashimi.
The only satay available is beef, would have been better to include chicken satay to appeal to bigger segment of diners.
The restaurant staff seem well-trained, the waitress was super efficient & immediately cleared the dishes without being told.
Overall, the place has a nice ambience, just a little warm on a hot day as there're only fans, no air-cond in the Garden Cafe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had iftar / breaking of Ramadhan fasting there with my family of 5. The spread is lousy. When you sat to eat… the next round you visit the stalls (on the outside tents) - most of the stalls are no longer being served.
Yes, they are offering 1 free with 1 paying adult - it doesn’t mean they have the right to half the serving or giving us inferior servings.
Will not go there again. A waste of my hard earned income.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for B1F1 iftar. Food was so so I think not even satisfactory. Table setting also quite crowded so if you want to get food need to cross few tables. I only like salmon on the grill stand but it is correct they only served for certain time. When I tried to go for second round the grill stand closed already… They close the stands early, not worth it. Murtabak does not taste like murtabak just taste egg only. Briyani rice also tasteless but the cake on dessert stand changes so keep an eye on it. You might want to taste few selections of cakes there. But main course was disappointing. Will I go there again, absolute no.

Food was tasty, fresh and a good value for money.
Plenty of to choose from.
Service was pleasant too!
Can recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for seafood dinner buffet. Adults get buy 1 free 1 promotion. Worth it. The bad thing is there were flies over the buffet spread. Most items are not covered. The good thing is they enforced all patrons to wear plastic gloves while taking food

Good spread offering seafood, lamb chops, satays and typical Penang fare.
