The restaurant is located at second floor. The food taste is not up to my expectation. The price is on the high side. Service is good though

Love the service and introduction by Andrew. He was so friendly and his recommendations on the food is spotless. We love the flavours especially the Nasi Goreng Kampung. Not to be missed is their Malaysian Beef Curry and Crispy Duck. Just go!

Stumbled across Andrew's Kampung with my parents as we were headed towards Knives and Forks. Drawn by the crowd, the cooling fans and the open space, we changed our minds and decided to dine here. Service was fairly slow, where it took around 20 minutes before we were served the first dish. We ordered 4 small dishes: black pepper beef, homemade beancurd vegetable, kapitan chicken curry and spicy squid. The bpf, beancurd vege were nice. The kapitan chicken curry wasn't spicy at all - in contrast to what the menu warned. And the spicy squid is not recommended. The squid while reasonably chewy was ruined by the batter that felt cooked in old oil, and didn't have the right balance to enhance the flavor and texture of the squid.

Stumbled upon this cosy and humble family-run eatery while looking through online suggestions. What a pleasant surprise. We ordered the nyonya seabass and crispy squid. Portion is huge for the price and the food is really2 good. They donโ€™t serve pork but there is alcohol in the premise if thatโ€™s your concern. We will definitely be coming here next time in Batu Ferringhi. Highly recommended!

Superb food! I really enjoyed the local spicy crispy squid and kampung fried rice! The squidโ€™s portion was huge, enough for 2-3 people. Delicious and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. The owner was really friendly too. On the walls there are pictures of tourists who visited the place. Very tourist-friendly. The restaurant was within walking distance from my hotel, Shangri-Laโ€™s Rasa Sayang.

I recently discovered Andrewโ€™s Kampung across from Golden Sands Beach Resort despite staying at this hotel many times. And what a gem of a place. Every dish that we ordered was simply delicious with just the right portions. We wiped it all clean. And Andrew, the owner, was such a pleasant host. This restaurant has been around for 22 years and I hope it stays open for many more years. Delicious food, reasonable pricing and a gracious host. Highly recommended for anyone looking for simple, delicious food. Iโ€™ll be back for more. ?
