★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 我們平均每兩個月都會光顧一次/两次( 除了MCO/TEMCO不可以堂食之外)，因為這裡的服務和食物是我和我朋友都覺得值得推薦的。
但是在今年1月的時候，我們要和朋友慶祝生日，詢問了老闆之後老闆說我們5個人是可以訂了一個包廂房間在裡面慶祝的; 結果到了之後服務生突然告訴我們，我們的用餐時間只可以到9點半之前，因為這間房間9點半已經有另外一組客人預訂了。當時我們雖然覺得錯愕但後來覺得7pm-9.30pm 2個小時半是都可以吃飽離開了，但是沒有想到當天的客人太多了(服務員說的)，湯底和食物order上到來都接近8點了，當下真的吃到很趕，因為還要慶祝生日，幸好那天值班的服務員服務還是不錯的，他告訴我們顧客遲到了所以叫我們慢慢來。
再來就是新年初九那天，我突然想起1月的事情，所以在預訂好的前一天隨口問起我們的房間有預設時間要幾點吃完嗎，老闆才說有，9點半之前要離開了，老闆/老闆娘進一步解釋，因為其他2間都是預訂8點，然後我們7點，所以就要拿我們的房間給9點半的客人。老實說我們不介意9點半有客人要進，但是是不是可以事先通知我們呢? 後來經過協調我們提早到6點半。
最後，就是今天了，預訂7點半，5個人一間房間，老闆也是說好的答應了，結果去到的時候沒有房間，一開始老闆說我們只是預訂桌子沒有預訂房間，show老闆信息之後，他改口告訴我們，因為現在不是MCO是CMCO所以包廂要6個人才可以預訂。當下真的很生氣，生氣原因是每次去到火鍋店才被告知！至少在那天我預定的時候有說，我是可以理解和明白.
真的真的對家鄉的服務越來越失望了。服務越逐漸越來越差. 每次反映了問題之後老闆娘都說會改進，看起來好像都是安撫我們而已.??
On average, we visit once/twice every two months (except MCO/TEMCO is not allowed to eat in), because the service and food here are recommended by me and my friends.
But in January of this year, we were celebrating a birthday with a friend. After asking the boss, the boss said that 5 of us could book a private room to celebrate; the waiter suddenly told us that our meal time was only It can be before 9:30, because this room has already been booked by another group of guests at 9:30. He told us that the customer was late so he told us to take our time.
On the ninth day of the new year, I suddenly remembered what happened in January, so the day before the reservation was booked, I asked casually whether our room had a preset time to finish the meal. The boss said yes. After leaving, the boss/lady further explained that because the other two rooms were booked at 8 o'clock, and then we were at 7 o'clock, so we had to give our room to the 9:30 guest. To be honest, we don't mind if there are guests coming in at 9:30, but can we notify us in advance? After coordination, we arrived at 6:30 early.
Finally, it’s today. I booked a room for 5 people at 7:30. The boss agreed, but when we got there, there was no room. At first, the boss said that we just booked a table and did not book a room. After showing the boss information, He changed his mind and told us that because it is not the MCO but the CMCO, the box can only be booked with 6 people. I am really angry at the moment. The reason for my anger is that I am told every time I go to a hot pot restaurant! At least when I booked that day, I said that I can understand and understand.
Really, I am getting more and more disappointed with the service in my hometown. The service is getting worse and worse. Every time after reporting the problem, the proprietress said that she would improve, and it seemed that she was just comforting us.??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A rarity to find steamboat restaurant who make proper good quality soup base.
Most of the steamboat restaurants I have been to in Alor Setar mostly serve simple soup base.
In this restaurant you can get a good variety of soup base that serves with a good amount of ingredients in it.
Personal favourite is Fish head yam soup and old duck soup.
Best comfort food to get when its raining.
I am a frequent customer to the Gia Xiang branch in Penang. I think this branch in particular requires better staff training as most of their staff are youngsters. Often find them struggling when it is full house. Can see they trying their best but this branch do need a good captain with strong leadership skill to lead the workers.
Food itself is good.
Service wise needs some improvement.
Otherwise this is a place I am happy to visit because they have good ambience.
