This has been my must-eat-food whenever I'm back in Penang. I have ate only hokkien mee from this place since 2013 and it has always been the loyal good friend as it open until late night and are also available in day time. These 2 pic I posted in this review have time interval of 2 days and I have it as one dinner and another one for breakfast because I can. ?
If you think the picture looks good, believe me it taste even better than it looks. Price is affordable for this quality.
Parking can be hard and please be careful as car might be tolled and saman if you did not react fast.

โ โ โ โ โ This shop specializes in hokkien mee and I would say that this is the best hokkien mee I have ever tried. Seat and space is quite limited, customers need to take a seat at the aisle after ordering. We visited at night for supper and no queuing and parking issues for us.

โ โ โ โ โ My alternative to 888 Hokkien Mee at Lebuh Pesgrave. This place is much cleaner and more comfy than 888. It tastes really good as well. Very rich broth with various add ons available. They serve Loh mee as well. You can have half and half prawn mee and loh mee. Thatโs my personal fave as the broth is much thicker and more flavourful. Super good service as well.

โ โ โ โ โ Delicious prawn mee - I went there for breakfast and didn't have to queue/wait.
The restaurant is separated over two lots - the dining area is opposite a temple (pictured) and the ordering area has a signboard. Go to the ordering area first, order and pay, and then sit at the dining area, your food will come to you.
I had a small bowl of prawn mee, with added meatballs and iced coffee/kopi peng. The coffee is thick and sweet.

โ โ โ โ โ One of the good places for Penang Hokkien Mee during the night. Seating used to be limited on the sidewalks but now they have gotten a shoplot to dine in a few doors away.
Food is still good, RM6 for the standard plus RM3 for extra pork belly.
Parking is a challenge here.

โ โ โ โ โ Delicious prawn noodles in Penang. I had mix, prawn noodles soup mix with loh. The braised egg is delicious and soup is nice. But the portion is not big.
Dine in area is actually outside kaki Lima and its quite limited. Could be very warm as there is no fan.

โ โ โ โ โ Nice prawn noodle, spicy & thick soup, but if order the normal bowl, only have small shrimp & egg. You have to order at one shop and walk over few shops to dine in. Generally is nice, maybe too high expectation before try it, so a little bit disappointed with the only shrimp & egg.
