Tried pineapple tart, mini egg tarts and Pandan steamed cake, not impressed. Not sure why it has so many high ratings though, but I do believe it is a good gesture to support small business like ensure healthier business competitions and less monopoly by big brands though.

If this is the place i think it is, we loved coming here to buy the cakes out on the front stall. The old lady with the hunchback could not speak a word of English but pointing to what I wanted was all she needed to know. &&& VERY affordable & beautiful They were very tasty pastries & sweets that we had never tasted before. I have included some pics of the old lady here & we loved it...been there twice & when we return will go again.

The exterior of the shop. It is a nondescript shop. The mother and son owner are friendly

Located next to the corner coffee shop, this place has some great pastries & sponge cakes on offer. The egg & pineapple tarts fresh from the oven are pretty good as is the service by a tireless & friendly old lady. Highly recommended.

Egg tart here is a must try! I actually search this place because I remember the amazing taste of egg tart in my previous visit. It was the best egg tart ever I've had. 2 thumbs up!!! Please go there in the morning to eat freshly cooked one.

Old school Chinese pastry shop. Nothing spectacular. I had the Sesame Red Bean ball which was good. The Fried Turnip cake which was average and the Deep Fried Taro Dumpling which looked like the real deal and I thought I had found the "one" that would put all Penang Dum Sum restaurants to shame. Sadly, it wasn't to be. The taste and texture didn't meet the cut. A few more other tip bits on the table which was a little to much for me to handle. I wanted just one single egg tart but was sold as a pack of four or five mini tarts. Didn't want to be disappointed and left with unfinished goods, so I skipped it.

Food: (Non halal): Traditional Cantonese pastries Ambiance: Stall Price: Steadily increased over the years Service: Order, take and go Overall: Auntie and her son has been selling pastries for more than 25 years as long as I remember. Egg tart is the popular one but no longer selling. Now they are selling small egg tart. Hup toh sou (chinese walnut cookie) is the best. Others like sponge cake and loh mei chi (special as they dont put white flour on it, cant find it in KL). As such, 5 star rating for auntie!
