Here early specifically for "lor mee" at 730am and the crowd has already started to gather. Served fast was a bowl of hot ? lor mee with egg that's full of flavor and good to the last drop. Not disappointed at all and I started craving it the very next day. Definitely will be back soon.

Had this right before I left Penang to KL. This is really one of the best oyster omelette that I had in Penang. The omelette is crispy and the oysters are fresh. Be noted that you might need to wait a little bit longer (approx 20-25 mins) as the chef is cooking plate by plate for each orders.

stop at seng thor coffee shop, george town for breakfast, customers are quite crowded too. I ordered lor mee which is said to be liked by many. In less than a few minutes the food has reached the table. The first time I tried it and already liked it. The price is very reasonable. I'm sure will stop by again

Revisited it after nearly 4 years and it’s just as good as I remembered it to be. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside with generous amount of oyster so much. We ordered rm20 plate for 2 person and it was more than enough as after awhile felt abit jelak. Out of the 3 days I was in Penang, I ate it once a day. That’s how good it was. We also went after 3pm since the shop wasn’t so pack anymore yet we still waited about 20 mins for it. Worth the wait

*Parking here can be a bit of a challenge. There is a parking lot a few minutes down the street but that fills up pretty quickly too. If you want to take the risk you can illegally park outside the restaurant but be warned that the traffic police make their rounds frequently here so you need to be very aware of the situation outside. Ambience: It’s the typical kopitiam style of environment. So think sitting on a plastic chair and table and just shifting around other people to walk around. Service: Nothing to complaint about, as they try to meet everyone’s order as well as they can. The restaurant staff is also diligent in ensuring that drinks orders are taken and met quickly. Food: Pretty good! Although I haven’t managed to try Oh Chiens in other Penang stores due to the limited time I had, I can safely say this is definitely one of the best I’ve had so far anywhere. There was some inconsistency in the taste I had when I went 2 times however, as the first time was crispier while the 2nd time was more watery. Price: Reasonably priced, as it costs around RM12 for a small dish of Oh Chien (Doesn’t look that small tbh). Considering the quality you are getting this is also pretty reasonable. Conclusion: Would I come back here for this? I’ve already answered by question above and undoubtedly I would if I come back to Penang. This is definitely one of the best ones I’ve had.

Went at 1pm on the first day, lor mee was closed. Oyster omelette was good and crispy. I would request for more chilli to be added into the oyster omelette, I found the chilli for dipping a tad too sweet for my liking. We ordered the small serving with added oysters 20rm. Wantan mee was surprisingly good too, sauce was not sweet. We went back for lor mee the second day. It was authentic and flavorful but i had to add soy sauce to really bring out the full flavor. Enjoyable experience as a whole. Will come back.
