1. Not for beginners. That's for sure. Can't really see the view at the peak. The path really hard and steep. For casual hiker , they probably can hike this in 1 day. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Took me 3hours (with light pack..only water/lunch) to go up from an advanced camp set up the night before (halfway between entrance and Lolo camp). Gate seems locked but locals ride motorcycle up the road/dirt path (for about 6km).there is a side road entrance (check maps.me for that one) not much view on top...pure effort.. there seems to be a dog following hikers.(saw him on other photos) That dog is really incredible he can climb up to the top..if you see him please reward him with some food. Thanks

Gunung nuang is famous of their chipmunk ! It is definitely must hike if u are in KL via janda baik. But first u must apply permit for the trip or u can just pay to the organizer who always open trip to gunung nuang. Normally the trip will cost u around rm30-rm40 per head. Do mind that u need to pay rm7 per car at janda baik starting point. Log: Distance 13km Elevation gain 1200m Total hiking time is 4hrs and 30min for slow pace and downhill for me was 2hrs from peak to car park. Hiking tips: Do make a good preparation such as jogging or try gunung angsi prior to hiking for gunung nuang as i saw too many people injured such as cramp both legs during hike! Cant take it as easy as this is one of the famous mountain for it track where u need top uphill and downhill 3 times prior summit attack.

Climbed through Jander Baik, the route has fewer leaches than expected. good for weekend one-day hike.

Great mountain for workout. Not much of a view. Cheap, and easy access for KL people. Condition is getting worse over time. Due to more crowd than ever, and lack of maintenance. Today raining, the condition even worse, muddy and slippery.

After hiking for 20km and 10hours, nothing beats the feeling of conquering Gunung Nuang, a height of 1485m. The feeling is achievement is so fulfilling. However, the way up was long and muddy. If you're up to challenge yourself physically end mentally, this is the place to go! Seriously not for beginners, you will literally suffer all the way up and down. Occasionally there are some leeches. Remember to check out the weather a few days before your hike and the weather forecast for the day. My advice is don't go if it's a rainy season. The terrain is extremely muddy. I've been here twice, once during the dry season and the other during the wet season. Take my advice just don't go during the rainy season. Bring food and adequate water.

The track is very easy. It suitable for beginner level. However it will be long hours track. We did it in 6-7 hrs with relaxing pace. There are no view in the peak as covered up by forest. There are toilets at the parking area at the start point.
