★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trailhead has toilets and 2 'wakaf' stations with tables where ppl can sit together. What it doesn't have is water for the toilets. Looks like the no water situation has been going for some time as there are empty water bottles lying abt.
Gunung Nuang hike is no joke. If u only frequent bt gasing, broga, or apek hill, then u hv to be mentally n physically prepare yrself. The climb towards Pengasih is more than 60degrees and takes forever. The trail can be very muddy during the rainy season. There are 4 river crossings, 1 if which can be really deep during the rainy season. Occasionally hikers were stranded due to high water level and had to wait for the water level to recede. Its really a hard-core hike, and can take from 8-15hrs depending on yr physical fitness level.
