Chicken chop was nice. Price is reasonable. Portion is reasonable too. Mushroom soup is below average. I've tasted alot of better ones.

This used to be one of my favourite casual dining outlet. After a few occasions dining here, regretfully the quality has dropped. The mushroom soup tastes more like a starch soup made with flour. Their chicken chop used to be their signature dish however it was a great disappointment when I ordered it today. The gravy is so starchy and no longer have the potato sweetness. Also realised popularity to this premise has dropped significantly too. It used to be flooding with people waiting but now thereโ€™s always a table available. Hope the Chef and owner would read the reviews and made improvements else it will be a white elephant soon.

First of all, the service here is good. The staff were friendly. Grab a seat first before going to the counter to order. Most of the dishes cost between RM10 to 12. Definitely get their chicken chop (RM10). The sauce is authentically Hainanese - love the sweet tang of the sauce. The chicken was fried well too. Only downside was that the fries were not great. There are also fancy butterfly pea flower drinks here sold for RM8, but I would recommend going with the more normal beverage options which cost less than RM2. For 2 people, we had a total of 4 dishes. The chicken chop, a pork chop, fish and chips, and chicken cordon bleu. The cordon bleu was disappointing as there was no ham and not enough cheese.

Itโ€™s not perfect but this Hainanese Western Stall makes the best Oriental Chicken Chop in Penang. The deboned thigh and drumstick coated with flour is well fried and served with a generous amount of tangy sauce; sides include fries, salad and a 1/2 slice of bread. I have to say the salad and bread are disappointing, otherwise would have been the perfect Oriental Chicken Chop. Located on Mount Erskine Road opposite an imposing Chinese temple, itโ€™s premises itself is unique as it shares the compound with a smaller Chinese shrine. While the menu is strikingly extensive, everyone is here for the Chicken Chop.
