An Insta-worthy place to visit for breakfast / lunch next to Jonker. Connected to a nyonya kebaya clothing store, serve great nyonya food like pie tee, assorted nyonya kuih, laksa noodle, cendol, tai bak and great coffee as well!

Delicious local favourite in Malacca. Service crew fast and attentive. Love the colourful umbrella decor too. We ordered: 1) Pai tee (yummy with a dash of chilli) 2) Rendang with mantau (delicious) 3) Belacan chicken wing (can't get it anywhere but here) 4) Cendol (favourite dessert if you are in Malacca or Penang!) 5) mee Siam (bagus!)

Reached there at 2.15pm, queued for 20min. First beverage, nyonya kuih and cendol served after 10min. Kombucha was the ‘today’s special’ drinks, but the waitress didn’t know what flavour was available for kombucha? Nyonya kuih taste so so, but not sweet. The onde-onde gula melaka taste a bit sour, yes sour. Cendol was tasteless (couldn’t taste gula melaka, red bean was gone, RM5), jonker 88 cendol much more better than this. Food served 30min after the kuih. 1. Pie Tee shell was oily, sengkuang was tasteless. 2. Sambal sotong taste like we can buy at malay roadside stall, not worth at all. My friend commented the fried egg not good, feel like it has been cooling for some time. We thought that Chap Chai will be served Acheh instead of zapfan’s chapchoi, which this set is not worth at RM17.90 3. Nyonya Laksa was so so, cannot compare to any restaurant in Melaka. Conclusion: not worth to wait and queue, overpriced, shortage of staff makes everything kelam kabut and waitress need to be well-trained to serve customer better.

The only thing good about here is the building and the environment. Food are not nice, yet expensive, not worth the hype. Gula melaka latte didnt even have coffee taste, too sweet. The staff even served the wrong food. Very understaffed, so ordering and serving food were messy. The only thing good is the baba nyonya furniture and designs.

Fairly disappointed with the dishes.. the Ang ku is hard and dry... The pai tee is actually expensive for rm12 and the tai Bak used to be way better before they shifted ? (Vice is sad too?). Luckily the Mee goreng isn't too bad and Mee Siam is decent.. however I won't be coming back

Waiting time:15mins for a table and 20mins for food being served. We have been told abt t waiting which we appreciated. Food quality is above average and food taste is subject to individual preferences. We agreed food is tasty n not over salty nor sweet. We enjoyed our lunch here?

The environment is comfortable and suitable for tea break. The background music is soft and creates a relaxed ambience for guests. The design is creative and colourful. It suitable to be an instagramable spot for photo shooting. I enjoy the environment, but if you call to make reservations earlier then you could get better seats. Their Nyonya kuih is nice ?.

A bold claim that is rightfully made. The flavours are indeed of the straights Chinese food heritage. Flavours that not many have had the privilege of tasting and appreciating. But then, I forget that this is in Melaka, home of the baba nyonyas. I can attest to the flavours here as a baba growing up eating peranakan dishes till today. Being an out of town visitor, I've only patronised twice and managed to try the nyonya laksa and buah keluak. Needless to say that the nyonya laksa gravy had all the spices that birthed its name. It tasted exactly as how my late Aunt made it and how I make it now. The ingredients and methods are easy enough to replicate but is often not so other places. Add a side of sambal belacan and it's makan time. I haven't had buah keluak for quite awhile and was pleasantly surprised at seeing this on the menu. Not many know of this dish, even fewer know how to prepare it and buah keluak is not easy to procure or supply. It was only available on my second visit and it tasted simply amazing and I am content with the knowledge that many others are able to experience and taste this delicious dish. Excellent food, service and ambience
