C	Chi Vu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bar is a true speakeasy, hard to find, the decor is incredible and well thought through, music is also decent. Really nice experience. Only thing about it is that it allows smoking inside while their ventilation is close to non existent. So if you're a non smoker like me you would not enjoy it as much as you could. Shame. With the area they have they can easily separate the smokers and non smokers.
P	PeiYing Tang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interior and decoration are nicely done, can really tell the owner threw in lots of effort in creating the Chinese ambience. The signature cocktails are much more pricey and gimmicky. Seats are limited so remember to do advance booking first. Overall is okay, I wish they have a cooler playlist.
K	Khoo Jolyn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking for a place reminiscent of ancient China, look for this hidden bar. You will be deceived by its entrance. Suppose to have live band, but they mostly belt out Mandarin songs. The music is too overpowering for a conversation. The cocktails are recommended but rather pricey at a minimum of RM38. Maybe trendy for some young generations, as is crowded on a weekends. But I prefer a quieter place to chill out.
T	Travelling Wilbery on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff at this bar need some serious training in hospitality . They behaved like rude gangsters from the time (8pm) we arrived, asking what we wanted ? "Its a bar , a drink would be nice". The venue was completely empty and the staff kept moving us from table to table saying the tables were booked, so we left. Disappointing as we had been told that this venue was a great place to have a drink. Perhaps in days gone by !. Save your money folks, the glowing reviews on this place are BS.
A	Andrew Ang on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly living up to its name, don't expect to find this place easily unless you have set the location on google or waze. Most would simply whizz by without noticing as the exterior looks like an old shoplot without any signage. However, once you find it, you will feel like being taken into another realm upon entering. Really cool and chic ambience, mostly pre-war Chinese art deco. Hip joint worth visiting if you happen to be in Penang!

Thankfully, due to one of the reviews citing the Taiwan restaurant (that has an adjoining door), it wasn't too difficult to find. The actual front door of the bar offers no clues whatsoever as to the nature of the place. The environment is good and if you are a smoker you'll be pleased to know that you can smoke inside. Even so, the place wasn't smoky so it is well ventilated. The decor is basic but tasteful. We didn't try their cocktails. We got a bucket of 5 Carlsberg for RM88. Compared to hawkers etc, this is expensive but very normal for bars in Malaysia. I would go back. Nothing special for me but was happy to enjoy a cigarette with my beer :-)

It’s also the first bar that ask me to take a covid rapid test before entering, they sell the kits at 3myr each, am fine with the arrangement though since it protects the guests and staff The bar is really quite hidden and hard to find unlesss you really know where you are going, the real bar is behind a panel door behind the front shop. Once inside the interior is nice and I really like the drinks Also not sure who are the singers but the male singer that night was super!!! Really recommend
