β β β β β If you are looking for a reliable, experienced, honest and scrupulous cobbler, this is it: Hong Kong Shoe Store in 20 Kimberley Street, Penang. Was really pleased with the fine workmanship, efficient and polite service and incredibly cheap price. It's at Hong Kong Shoe Store, in its former Muntri Street premises where the young Jimmy Choo apprenticed and made his first pair of shoes at the age of eleven. He learnt shoe making from Mr. Wong Sam Chai, a master shoemaker. The store is now run by Mr Wong's son, Heng Mun. Besides shoe repair and resolve and other shoe work including custom shoes made to order, the store sells really comfortable shoes from the rack.
