★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never been on a Ho-Ho bus that delivered you further away from some of the points of interest, which combined with the state of the traffic and free bus option makes it a bit of a waste of time to be honest. Where a stop is just in the general area some signage would really improve things massively.

1. Bus NOT ON TIME there is a time i hop off at botanical gardens and the bus didn't come after 2 hours!!!! Which forces me to use taxi.
2. ONLY ONE WAY ROUTE, which means you HAVE TO follow their destination route accordingly. You cant visit stop 2 first instead of stop 2.
3. NOT HELPFUL staff, i was stranded for more than 2 hours, so i called their office and message their page on facebook and NO ONE ANSWERED!!!!! What kind od business is this?
4. One staff/tour guide in the bus cant even speak english properly..... damn, cant they even hire someone who CAN SPEAK english at least?
5. The buses are poorly maintained. They dont even clean the seats and floors properly as there are black/dirty spots here and there.
Pros: The price is cheap for student. @RM12

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We almost always do Hop On Hop Off bus tours when we travel around the world. I would consider ourselves experience travelers. We even pay and buy Travel Guides to the place we travel to. We are serious students of the areas we go to and even have a $1,500 camera we use to prove it.
This Penang bus tour is the worse one we ever did. It was like having a Grade 7 student write a script and then having the tour guide recite the script from memory. No color commentary, no local flavor. Absolutely useless. The tour was conducted in English but the tour guides English was not up to par. In fact, one of the tour guides did not even know what the population of Malaysia was!!! Very little information, extremely uninformed and disconnected to the audience were some of the immediate feedback I could give.
Somebody needs to start a small mini bus tour company and have an Expat conduct the tour and put some energy and flavor into the tour and will take all the business away from a company that is obviously not committed to offering a quality product.
