β β β β β Good location, menu & ambience. But food & service is poor. Where do I start? 1. Prawns were stale 2. Food was mixed up & served wrong dishes. 3. We were informed that βpuris were unavailableβ only after all other dishes including rice were served. Ordering a replacement at that time, would mean making rest of the food cold. So we just continued to have rice & left.
Learnt a lesson that day, no matter how good the presentation & ambience is, food & service is no 1 priority

β β β β β The food is overall okay but pricey, the spiced sizzling chicken masala is good, butter chicken was too sweet for my liking and the naan wasn't even warm when it was served. But what's off-putting was the service. Pre-ordered the food during Ramadan, but order wasn't prepared β served an hour after we came. Had to request items multiple times because the server probably was too occupied and forgot what was asked (mind you it wasn't that busy of a service). Service has to be improved.

β β β β β I absolutely love the food here! Super tasty and flavourful. Indian food is amazing in general but often time it can be very same-same in most places, so I love how Jhann takes normal Indian food and makes it eye-catching and beautiful.
If you are not the type of person to spend a little bit more money for food, this place is not for you.
The price is slightly higher than other places but it's definitely worth the value. Ambience is great, staff is friendly. Gorgeous interior, great if you want to celebrate a special occasion or feel like dressing up.
P.S. Their roti jala is kick*ss! ?

β β β β β I must say, the starters are delicious... The sizzling lamb is also a formidable culinary adventure on its own. Last but not least, the Kerala fish was indulging sinful. Amazing. The mesmerising beauty of the decor will bring you back to the days of the British Raj's with a spell exuberance. The place to be.

β β β β β This place definitely needs to improve both on customer service and food quality aspect. Quite understaffed place and poor servers are all over the place while they are trying to attend each table. Waiting time can go Upto 20 mins for a dish.
We ordered chicken manchurian and they served us something that is in the image below. I can bet money this is not how chicken manchurian is made. While non-Indian guests may not notice and enjoy the gravy, I feel this is not nice to cook a dish differently. The staff needs to learn how a manchurian is cooked and only then they should offer this item to the guest.

β β β β β Not recommended. I've tried plenty of Indian restaurants that offer the same dishes with a better taste, and usually at cheaper prices. The decor may look quirky at first glance, but this comes at the cost of practicality. The lamb biryani was sticky and barely had any meat in it. Quite badly understaffed. The only decent dish I tried here was the palak paneer. There are plenty of better options on the same street.

β β β β β ? Jhann
If youβre looking for a chic and stylish Indian dining in Kuala Lumpur, then Jhann is the one βοΈ Asia is known as the great spice continent, and Jhann certainly does India justice with their polished interpretations of classic regional favourites. ??
Hereβs what I had, starting from the best:
1. CHEESE NAAN (5/5βοΈ) - RM18
~ THE BEST CHEESE NAAN EVER OMG!!!! I have been hunting for cheese naans all my life but little did I know that Jhann actually serves the cheesiest and most contented naan in the world. The naan was fluffy and doughy with generous amount of Mozarella cheese ? Expect the unexpected is the best way to describe their naan as I wasnβt anticipating a crazy cheese pull, but I got it!!! ? While I hoisted my Cheese Naan into the air, drool slowly coaxed out of my mouth at the sight of the golden cheesy tapestry gracefully elongating from the tug of war between hand and gravity. A velvety smooth cheese pull that's a luxurious treat for the eyes and camera. ?
2. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA WITH ROTI JALA (4/5βοΈ) - RM22
~ The chicken tikka masala here is a dried version so there was less gravy but still big on flavour. There were charbroiled cubes of chicken cooked in onion based paste with chilli flakes and curry. Spicy with a hint of smokiness.
3. LAMB VINDALOO WITH RICE (2/5βοΈ) - RM25
~ Didnβt quite enjoy this dish as the mutton chunks were hard and chewy. The vindaloo tasted more like butter chicken as it mainly tasted of tomato purΓ©e instead of masala or curry ? I wasnβt expecting a tomato based gravy so this dish was a miss for me.
4. MASALA CHAI (5/5βοΈ) - RM7
~ Mom needs her tea fix and Iβm glad she was beyond satisfied with her chai. In fact, she rated it as one of the best chais she has tasted as the spices werenβt too strong, yet retained its aromatic scent and flavour. ??
We were also served complimentary papadums with mint chutney in a mini wooden chest for starters ?
