It's a nice place to buy something. The price is cheaper than Singapore. It's not far from Singapore . It has the border with Singapore. From Singapore you take the bus or train to Malaysia very easy. But the customs is very difficult. I was stuck there for near 2 hours for answer some questions. Very lucky I can answer them. Day la trung tam mua Sam tuyet voi. Gia ca re hon Singapore. No cach Singapore khong xa. Hai nuoc co chung duong bien gioi. Vi vay tu Singapore ban bat xe bus hoac Tau dien den Malaysia rat de dang. Nhung hai quan o do lam viec rat nghiem ngat. Minh da bi mat ket o do gan 2 tieng. Ho da dieu tra minh. May man minh co the tra loi ho???

I went to City Square mall yesterday after more than 2 years because of COVID. I had heard that the place had somehow become a ghost town during lockdown. Well, seeing is believing. Actually I was at Mid valley South key before my son and I decided to head to City Square mall for our dinner as it was nearer to JB sentral. To our dismay, many of the eateries have since closed. I wanted to eat at the Japanese hotpot in the basement but it wasn't there anymore.? In the end, we had curry noodles. It was really empty. Note: No money changers at the mall, not even at the neighbouring Komtar JBCC. You need to go to JB Sentral. Rates aren't fantastic.

City Square Mall in Johor is a very convenience place to visit. You don't need to join any travel agent, as this mall is situated immediately just across the causeway. Situated just opposite the Malaysian Customs office, it is easy and cost saving to go by public bus or by railway at Singapore Woodlands. Imaging just spent a few dollars, and you are able to go overseas la... Inside City Square mall usually is very safe. Don't need to worry too much but enjoy your shopping and eating all day long all under one roof. This mall has 5 levels of shopping, but it is clear and visual to customers only for 3 levels. Unless you are very familiar in there then you will able to locate level 4 & 5. In order to visit level 4 or 5, you can reach it at both ends of the mall. City Square shops offer many varieties of products and home necessities like clothing, watches, Glasses, Beauty Saloon, Men Hair Saloon, etc, and of course most important is the great n tasty restaurants foods and Malaysian local food products n supermart. In fact, prices are not really cheap for the locals, but it becomes cheap for Singaporean due to exchange currency. It cost Singaporean only one-third of the price, so there is much saving if one buy in large quantities. Just need a day to enjoy everything there, visit in the morning n return Sin in the evening, much better and cheaper than shopping in Orchard Road Malls. Enjoy.......??

(Detailed review below) Food ⭐⭐⭐ Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This mall is located right in Johor Bahru city centre next to Komtar (another mall) and it's okay. There's no supermarket here and not a lot of F&B shops so I did struggle to find any exciting foodie spots to try out. There is an odd convenience store located near/in the underground carpark (you have to 'exit' into the carpark area to get to it). Other than that, it's got the usual shops that are common to most malls in Malaysia. Tip: I actually used the mall's carpark to park my rented car and then explored the surrounding areas on foot. Take a short stroll along the 'water front' to get to nearby Little India and China Town spots.

A big department store with everything that you need. Located across the bridge from Singapore. A place to immerse yourself as it offers a unique experience for other Asian travelers, much more for foreigners. Great!

Din Tai Fung @ Johor Bahru City Square Family short trip to Malaysia finally settle down for lunch after massive 2.5 hours traffic jam at causeway. Favorite restaurant with yummy dishes. Most important much cheaper than outlet over in Singapore. ?????????
