Highly recommended for those that like spicy mala flavors. Give it a try, it's affordable price also. ?

β β β β β Char kway teow (minimal cockles and fishcake, no prawns, no chinese sausage) is palatable at RM7.50, kopi ais tastes OK. Do not buy their banana fritters as the fried batter and banana texture is hard to chew, ma geok is cold and soggy.

β β β β β After a long search, found the famous Jalan alor ma geok here. It's not operated by the alor uncle, but the dough is supplied by him or the exact recipe. It's sold for RM1 per pc so the size is small. The ma geok is unlike what's sold elsewhere, the dough is sweet and when fresh like eating soft bread. The sesame give it the crunch and aroma. Yummy.
I normally buy many at one go, keep in fridge and reheat to eta over few days. Best reheat in oven with a water bath and it's almost as good as fresh. Recommend thea geok my all time favourite.
