Feeling grateful to have met Cynthia as my teacher since my first class until now. Cynthia is really knowledgeable and patient. She always share fun stories and facts about korea with us during the class. Classes never been boring with her. ? Syllabus planned by KLH just nice and easy for beginner like me.

Had searched through a lot online before deciding on which academy to apply for the Korean class as I wanted to further my master study in Korea. I decided on KLH at last as I see a lot of positive reviews and the results of their students are excellent. In addition to that, they even provide intensive program which is suitable for me as the application of master study is quite soon. The best part about the program I registered is the timetable. It is flexible and I can reach out to my teacher anytime within 10am to 9pm. The grammar exercises given are also very useful. Through these exercises, I have learnt a lot and I was able to understand Korean without translations. The TOPIK exercises given are also following the format of the real exam and I believe through these I will be able to score my desired TOPIK level soon.

I learned Korean on my own for many years but recently have the desire to master this language and apply it to my career. I chose KLH because they are an official and legit learning center. They have the tutor test your level and suggest the level you should begin with before enrollment, which allows me to gauge where I’m at. After completing a term, my understanding, writing and speaking have improved tremendously. Before this, I could not understand and distinguish some grammar and writing usage functions from the other. Now, I am able to better understand and communicate in the language. Special thanks to Jane, my tutor who is patient, willing to help and explain to the best she can. Also thanks to Miss JC, who is always helpful whenever I have any enquiries as the course breakdown can be confusing. Overall, very worth the money as they make you work hard and ensure you understand what is being taught.

The intensive programme definitely helped me improve on my Korean language skills! Jane 선생님 is really patient with me and explained everything in detail. The lessons given are easy to understand. I would highly recommend KLH to anyone who wants to learn Korean whether to prepare for TOPIK test or just for fun! ????

I have been learning at KLH since September 2021, and I went from having a hard time understanding what a sentence meant to being able to write essays in Korean in the span of a couple of months! The DSS Online Class package works perfectly with my schedule as it is super flexible and you can learn according to your own time. On the other hand, the Online DSS Intensive package has helped me learn so much in a short period due to the comprehensive learning materials provided- reading, listening, writing, and speaking. The programs have helped me better prepare for the upcoming TOPIK exam. What I truly appreciate about the programs at KLH is the amount of support that you get from the tutors! Whenever you have any questions, concerns, or doubts, your tutor is only one text away and they do such an amazing job at explaining all the different grammar concepts and usage (and they will make sure that you understand all the materials being taught!) Without a doubt, do enroll at KLH if you want to maximize your Korean language learning ability! 110% recommended!

I've been through the advanced intensive program with DSS method for 7 months. Previously I've done onsite DSS classes with KLH for almost a year in total. Overall everything is fine, the tutor (Ms Jane) is able to answer most of my questions and is friendly to share her experiences and knowledge. Special thanks to her because I really learned a lot of useful knowledge and insights about Korean language. The course material was pretty intensive and full of knowledge, but a little bit repetitive (in terms of material type) and it would be more interesting if KLH can provide a more vivid learning experience e.g. adding pictures or colours/developing more material genres so it wouldn't be only pure words and tasks. Different types of material will be provided throughout the course including tons of past year papers, grammar worksheets, translations, writing etc. However, the speaking exercises are not as efficient for me as it's a virtual interaction with audio file so the Korean language environment needs to be created by your own self, unless you are signing up for a Korean speaking class with Native Korean. One more thing, the writing exercises will be marked by native Korean team, but they would just correct your spellings & grammars. With that said, they wouldn't provide any suggestions in terms of content, writing flow, or elaboration etc. It's kinda disadvantage for me as little feedback would be given so I wasn't sure if I'm elaborating it appropriately or any better touch-ups/improvements I could work on. Since it's a DSS class method and was done online, the advantages were that you can proceed in your own pace flexibly instead of tolerating with other students, but at the same time, it doesn't has the traditional class environment where you can meet different learners and learn together, which will create some interesting and fun vibes. Because of its intensive characteristics, you have to be extremely disciplined and productive everyday in order to complete the exercises and tasks or else it will not be worthy for price (because it is quite pricy). The fees are almost a 5-figure amount, and KLH didn't accept instalment. I proposed an instalment plan and they charged for interests which is around 5% in total. I accepted it because as a student, it was a challenge for me to withdraw the whole amount at once so an instalment plan is a barely affordable plan for me. Besides, they also provide free teaching training along with the course, where you will be trained by marking other students' work, preparing training worksheets and eventually guiding a beginner class (which is what I'm currently doing now). It is helpful in refreshing your basic knowledge especially when you are learning advanced skills, which means it can brush up your foundation (and gaining extra pocket money too). The workload for both responsibilities as a learner & assistant tutor is quite intense, so a good time management and passion are the key. Or else you will be overloaded with tasks, feeling stressful and eventually lose some interest in Korean language during the course, which is not what we want. To conclude the experience, it is a worthy course if you are aiming for TOPIK test Level 5-6 achievement as KLH guarantees you for it. If you are very very passionate in the Korean language, able to focus constantly with loads of tasks, good in time management, and the fees are not a huge problem for you, then it is recommended for you sign up for it. On top of that, make sure you are very disciplined in terms of time management and productive enough to complete the homework (around 10 worksheets per module) so you can enjoy and learn the most out of it. 감사합니다~

I have learned Korean on my own and I was quite lost when I started out. After a while, I came across KLH one day and decided to try it out as they are an official and genuine language centre. This is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Looking back, I have realised how much I've improved in terms of my understanding, writing and speaking. Back then, the words that I only knew was 안녕하세요 (annyeonghaseyo) and not knowing any grammar at all. I'm glad I've taken KLH Online DSS as I've really learnt a lot. I like how it is self-paced which gives me the opportunity to enjoy the process of learning Korean at my own pace. The modules are really easy to understand and big thanks to my tutor, Ms Jane who has guided me throughout my learning process! KLH’s DSS method is very good for students who would like to learn Korean in a proper way. Ms Jane & Mr Tan have over 20 years of teaching experience and they are keep improving their teaching materials in order to have better version of materials for the students. I’ve started my learning journey with KLH since 2019, but due to MCO I’ve stopped the class for more than 1 year. However, I’m able to score full marks for my TOPIK I and passed level 4 for my TOPIK II in 2021. This proof that DSS is the right method for building a strong foundation of Korean knowledge and able to help me to get the qualification of TOPIK.
