โ โ โ โ โ For someone from an English education background, I rly struggled with remember how to pronounce certain words in Mandarin. Jess has always given helpful pointers and ways to remember how to do these. She is very passionate about teaching Mandarin and always respond to my text when I need any clarifications outside of class. Overall, I feel this course was beneficial and a stepping stone for me to improve my Mandarin further.

โ โ โ โ โ In April this year, I did a weekend Legal Mandarin course with Jesselyn, the founder of Learnovation. Jess paired me up with a classmate who, like me, was from a legal background and already had some basic Mandarin knowledge. It was a very interactive session and Iza and I had fun while learning new vocabulary. Before taking us into the Malaysia Legal System, Jess went through phrases that are essential for Business Reception and Client Meeting Etiquette. Jess got us to do role-play to make certain that we understood what we had learnt, correcting our mistakes in the process.
Jess was able to structure the course in a meaningful way because as a lawyer, she understands the circumstances under which we work, the scenarios we normally encounter and the phrases that are frequently used.
Equally conversant in the English language, Jess articulates Mandarin clearly and distinctly. As a tutor, she is patient and thorough; as a person, she is down to earth and has the ability to put one at ease immediately.
