★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great variety of traditional Chinese biscuits available. The Heong Piah biscuit is not as tasty as others but acceptable. Buy 3 free 1 is a gimmick that would draw many. The kaya kok is not as fresh but still good. Staff are courteous and allows testing. Parking is a bit of challenge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The shop was closed for the last three days and I was there trying my luck this morning at 9:20am, Feb 12. They were cleaning the floor and I saw the crew brought out two trays, one with lotus meat floss (15 or so pieces) and Kaya puff (20+ pieces). I asked if they are fresh. The respond was “yes, they were baked this morning “, I bought 10 pieces and paid 40rm. I felt the box was like fridge cold and I returned one to ask if they were taken out from their fridge. They denied. I went off and went back the second time, they boss came out this time. He gave me a good 10 minutes lecture saying it is the norm as he told the staff to tell the customers “everything freshly bake”! What a BIG lie! Never again will I return to this shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks because the owner allow us to take next door food to dine in this shop. But too bad they dont offer any durian dessert as this is so called durian specialty shop. Would advise them to place a note on thier menu to safe hassle of the customer to choose on the durian dessert which they have no stock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought takeaway from Lam Fong, which is located in Yau Tet Shin Street in Ipoh, just opposite the famous steamed chicken shops of Onn Kee and Lou Wong. They have a variety of traditional pastries including kaya puff, siew pau, egg tart, Portuguese tart, etc. We bought egg tarts and Portuguese tarts and they were very fresh and delicious. They cost RM 2.50 or RM 15 for a box of 6. The packaging was very nice too for giving away as gifts. The street was very crowded so we double parked while one of us went down to buy. The service was good to help choose and pack the items. Recommended if you like traditional pastries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought their coconut candy and rice biscuit and it was very good. The shop sells lots of variety of biscuits and snacks. Even some of the products from the other famous shops.
Would try their freshly baked puffs and tarts next time when I visit.
