★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This airport had been renovated since the last time we were here. I have no problem with the basic facilities of the airport, but the management must have a better control of the service providers like the car rental agencies. We as tourists are at their mercy when it comes to pricing, car make, actual car conditions, insurance, petrol level etc. There has to be a better system to safeguard the tourists from being taken advantage of..or else, this will give Langkawi such a bad name...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LIA is smaller in size compared to KLIA and KLIA2. It looks more like a bus station, so small and easy for me to walk around and discover for first timer. You will not be lost here. The workers are young and some quite inexperience with "IC Sementara". My sister got quite a hassle because the worker doesn't know how "IC Sementara" works. I use normal IC and it's ok, passport works fine too. The environment is clean. Police on duty are helpful and since the compound is smaller in size, we rarely miss a thing.. I just remembered that LIA looks and feels very similar to airport in Kuala Terengganu. I love airport vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Feel very comfortable at the airport, sit at food garden, price very reasonable, as for me considered as cheap with the ambiance. No regret, foods taste great. While waiting for my daughter came from KL, we arrived from JB, drinks and eat like at warong price, much cheaper then SIAKAP VIRAL , hahahah. give a try if you have time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located near to the cenang, just 5 minutes away. Ease check in, small waiting area. Ease travel out from the plane, short pathway to the exit. A lot of car rental service available in the airport but i never try it. They provide cuckoo drinking water located outside of the toilet near the check in gate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well maintained and designed airport, with a good selections of duty free shops located in it. The layout is straightforward. Walking up and down the plane is OK for the young ones but for older folks may be a challenge.
Arriving here you will be greeted with a big selection of car rental services from different companies.
Pro tip do ask for the year of the car because the difference between a 10 year old myvi and new myvi is huge.
