Lee Kitchen (李太糖水) restaurant evidently had expanded its business by crossing over Tokong Road from Xin Di Fang restaurant (新地方) to occupy a new strategic corner lot. The area the restaurant occupies now is certainly spacious and sort of a unique triangular shape. Lee Kitchen serves primarily Chinese street food for breakfast and lunch. Did I say spacious? Not anymore if there are over 16 food stalls operating there. The restaurant as a result becomes quite cramped and not that airy. But the variety of food available is fantastic. You have chicken + char siu rice, vegetarian food, curry noodles, duck-egg fried noodles, clay-pot noodles, laksa, pan mee, Jawa mee, dim sum, etc. Much choice for the good quality thong sui desserts if you don't mind the price.

The food here is ok. The dried curry mee is not fanstatic but ok. It is huge portion and alot of ingredient like char siew, siew yuk, si ham and taufu pok. The penang charkoayteow is ok too. Generous amount of bean sprout but no chinese sausage and pork lard. The yam kok is ok la and not fanstastic. One thing i dont like is the kopi bing is too small glass.

Very crowded during my visit as it's CNY. No queuing system, everyone need to try their luck and grab the seats upon vacancy. Typical Chinese restaurant with multiple stalls. Tried the nasi lemak and it was OK. Nothing to shout about. Curry Mee and Hakka Mee seem to be the favourite in the restaurant.

One of the best kopitiams in Ipoh. Plenty of good food - Chee Cheung Fun, dimsum and char kuey teow were all very nice. Even the pastries - "horse shoe", you tiow are crispy, spongey and nice, great to dip with coffee. The egg caramel custard is slightly bitter and the osmanthus jelly could do with a bit more osmanthus. Will definitely come again on days with lesser crowd, a bit difficult to get a table as we came on festive season

The curry mee and asam laksa at this coffee shop are good. Avoid the mee jawa, sauce is watery. The iced coffee is also very nice. 2nd visit we tried the hakka mee, char koay teow and pan mee; all of which were nice. Also had the tong sui: black glutinous rice was good but the 'fah sang wu' was so-so only.
