The best place in taman negara that you can go to without a guide or boat. Accessible by a short trek from the campsite (board walk all the way). Its a wide river with sizeable sand beach. The water is naturally brownish, sand bed is coarse. Few boats will pass by occasionally and add character to the scenic ambience. You can choose to continue up to terasik hill from this course, or went up terasik from the other side (resort side) and come down this way and have a dip. Its a loop.

Cool place to check in Taman Negara. It only 20min walk from the resort. There are many fishes in the clear river but don't go after rain.

A great place to enjoy the river Tahan. This is also a nice spot for birding. You may see various birds including hornbills crossing tge river and in the riverine vegetation. Also good for butterfly and dragonfly watching. A boardwalk is available to reach the place from the Taman Negara park center.

Fantastic swimming spot for a refreshing dip while walking in the jungle. You do not need to take a boat here despite what other reviews say, it’s a fairly easy 15min stroll north of the Park headquarters. Be aware that there is the rare possibility of puffer fish bites, not life-threatening but very painful!

Oh! Amazing scenic beauty. But one need to book a boat to be there. Around 200RM per boat for 4 person required. One have to book the boat from the entrance of National Park. But worth of money.

Almost 1km walk from the park entrance. The walkway is elevated and properly lined with sturdy fibre glass boards but some frames are broken due to fallen trees or big animals. The place is quite secluded. Not many visitors. You will see a few boats going upstream to Lata Berkoh passing by. The water is not clear but very calm. People can go for a dip

Beautiful river beach accessible by a short trail north from Mutiara resort. Get a paper map or use a mapping app like Osmand with trail data. Go there early in the morning so you have the place all to yourself, without having boats zooming by every few minutes. Also accessible using the trail down from Teresek Hill but that trail isn't well maintained, has some steep sections without stairs, can get muddy and has plenty of leeches.

Good place for river bathing. But must watch out for incoming boat. Lots of small fishes swimming together. About 800metres (about 15mins)walking distance from Mutiara Taman Negara Resort.
