β β β β β This is a hidden gem within 2 book stores in Starling more. Madeleine Patisserie is located between bookxcess and jiuqiu bookstore. the cakes here are awesome. made by chef Joanne Yeong that won pastry chef of the year 2015 awarded by the world gourmet summit in Singapore. Go for the chocolate royale and if you like durian.. they have a Durian cake!!!!

β β β β β Come here to redeem my 12.12 FAVE cake and coffee set. Environment is clean and good for discussion. Banoffee is recommended if you love nuts. If you order a cup of tea, the hot water is refillable at the counter.

β β β β β Good place to have a break after browsing through books. Coffee is strong enough. Cakes are ok, not great.
Tea time from 3-6pm is a good deal. Drink+cake at 15.90
Can be busy and have to wait for a table.

β β β β β Nice cup of latte with carrot cake in Afternoon Tea/Coffee set @RM15.90. Had to queue 15 mins to be seated as many lone rangers with laptops occupying tables. Post pandemic, the bookshop is now Book Xcess outlet diversifying from pure Chinese collections.

Today, I had the Orange Poppyseed cake and tea. They usually have a promo for tea time (3pm - 6pm) where a regular cake + tea/coffee is RM 15.90 (or RM 18 for the premium cake).
I have tried a few of their cakes in the past and thatβs why I keep coming back for moreβ¦
Their Chocolate Nutella cake, Musang King cheesecake (premium), Lemon Cheesecake are amazing.
A good place to sit and enjoy a cuppa (or munch) whilst browsing the book(s) that have been purchased.
