★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can hike up if you want… its not that high up. Or you can take the tram by purchasing the tickets at counter. If you were hiking up, you can take the tram down…. Nobody’s checking the tickets. There’s a museum uphill and it’s free entrance. Plenty of monkeys around and yet so tourists friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a beautiful place to visit in Kuala Selangor. Bring your family especially children to Melawat Hill. Very peaceful n beautiful scenery. Can feed the monkeys. The monkeys waiting to be fed. There is a transport carriage driven by a tractor to bring you up to the hill top. For information the monkeys are not tame so becareful when feeding them. Not scare of humans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is an old fort. If your are up the hill in the 'right' weather, you will have a very pleasant refreshing climate with very beautiful view.
If you love history, spend some time up there and stroll around the area. Mind you it is a large area.
Start with the museum so when you walk around you'll know what you see an the significance of it.
Grounds are well kept, monkeys are well behaved. You're allowed to feed them, but please, please don't feed them junk food! Spent RM2 to buy proper food from the stall owners there. Take care of our wildlife and support our local business.
Fee is RM5 (for adult AND Malaysian) different fees for noncitizens. With that fee, you'll enjoy a tram ride up and down the hill and all the facilities up hill.
Just a tip, if you're not a marathon runner, not an endurance swimmer, my advice is try not to walk up the hill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My go to spot to visit whenever I'm in Selangor. It's very relaxing to see the nature and enjoy time with the silver leaf monkeys. They are honestly the most gentle, wise and amazing species I've ever met! You can give them food, and they don't snatch the food given. On top of that, it's a historical site, and there are cool historical remnants to be seen such as the fort and cannon. I just love to go there. Aren't they photogenic?
