β β β β β Good buffet in KL sentral! Must try the satay, spaghetti, stone oven pizza and many more. Friendly service staff who always greet us with a smile. Will definitely be back!

β β β β β I've been to Nook many times on a company event. But mainly for lunch session. And that is pre-covid time. On last Friday night, it's my first time went there for dinner session. The overall experience is very bad! Food variety is very less. Seafood is not fresh. Rice/noodles taste is not good either. Trust me, night market food can do better than Nook! Their quality has dropped significantly after COVID. It's not worth paid RM100 and this is the quality you get.

β β β β β I would say it's pass the average buffet breakfast as a 4-5 star hotel.

β β β β β Want to know what was the most memorable moment? The excellent staffs on duty that night.
They were very accommodating and helpful. Their courteousness and politeness was way beyond what I had expected for an establishment of this type. It is rare for busy servers to take the time to assist their guests and also kids especially when you can see most of them were pretty busy.
A lot of 5-star hotel restaurants would just let their guests walk around disconcerted at the buffet table.
But these guys, would approach you in their busy time and ask if they could be of any help. Well done. These things don't come easy in this country.
The dinner buffet selection by the way was pretty much normal. They did try to spice things up by adding items that are not in other hotels. Like for example, the 'asam pedas' station where you could choose which type of 'asam pedas' you would like from different regions in the country. It is cooked as you order. Outstanding right.
The satay was delicious and also the seafood served at the cold dish station was fresh as it comes. Will definitely make a return one day.

β β β β β The food was meh. The local food like Ayam kicap was dry and overcooked. Can literally pull the strings from the wings, and the kam heong is literally bland where it feels like I'm eating boiled chicken but with brown tasteless sauce. The others such as the slow cooked beef was kinda overcooked as well but the taste was good. The place looks nice but we were seated beside the dirty dishes even though there are lots of tables available. The pasta was overcooked, too soft to eat but the sauce was okay. The pizza is bad because theres no cheese on it lol. Desserts are okay because their bread pudding is good but the other desserts were over sweetened. Won't come again.

β β β β β Went there for Chinese New Year buffet, feel disappointed and cheated by the limited type of dishes offered. We didn't put high expectation on the type of dishes available but even economic rice stall have more choices than this restaurant.
Advertised "Roasted Sesame Chicken, a Yee Sang counter, Wok-fried Chilli Crab, Baked Oriental Seabass with ginger & superior scallion sauce, Crispy Butter Prawns, Popcorn Cereal and Curry Leaf Chicken, Shanghai-style Chicken Roulade and more" but only yee sang counter, wok-fried chili crab, baked seabass and popcorn chicken is available, with some other foods like pizza, satay, dessert, cake, 2 types of nyonya kuih, salad bar and some drinks. Furthermore the wok fried chili crab is cold, like they just simply use the crab in salad bar and put it into the same chili pot without frying it.
Most food are cold and the only food that serve hot are the soup dishes where the chef cook it on the spot and the steam dim sum and pau that is constantly on steamer.
Need to improve their hygiene as well as there are cockroaches baby running around the buffet table.
With that price, it's not worth it to go. There are better place out there which offer foods with quality and choices.

β β β β β Overall, we spent close to 2 hours devouring all the good food served at Nook, Aloft Langkawi! We also had a great chat with the waitress and she kept checking on us regarding the food quality and taste (top notch service)! There were also a few customers dining at Nook and we personally felt that it was a seriously under-rated restaurant!
The sunset view from the restaurant was amazing, cocktail was fairly cheap, pricing of main course are reasonable and the food quality and portions are of the highest quality and generous! We would definitely be back here next time!

β β β β β The buffet was average to me, the services was good tho and they control the crowd and follow SOP. Very good ? the lighting was a bit dim at my table, not sure if it's meant that way or what. Anyway I had a great time meeting up with my friends and chit chatting while eating.
