β β β β β orkid@29 has single, twin, and double rooms with shared bathroom. the owners, lee and teena, used recycled materials to decorate their guesthouse. they are nice and friendly, dont hesitate to ask their recommendations as to where you can get the best nasi lemak, roti canai, asam pedas, the freshest fruits, or best vegetarian restaurants in melaka. they are spot on. orkid@29 also run a cooking school, schedule depends on the guests availability.

β β β β β We spent several days in Orquid.Β It was a fantastic experience.Β The Homestay is very well located, on a street parallel to Jonker Street.
We arrived and were welcomed by Teena and Lee.Β Two very nice people with whom you can have long talks.Β She taught cooking and he makes small bags with fabrics brought from all over the world.
They invited us something fresh to drink, that with the heat from outside, that soda came in handy.
The house is very nice, it is well ordered and above all clean.Β The room is beautiful and very comfortable.Β I totally recommend this place.

β β β β β I am very happy to stay with Tenna and Lee for 3 days. Their house is located in the centre of Melaka, which is really convenient. Furthermore, they are really warm and friendly. They gave me some suggestions on what to eat for breakfast and where to travel. I really enjoy these days with them and I will choose their house again when I come to Melaka next time.

β β β β β My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time here in Melaka. This guesthouse is a beautiful place that feels very homey once you step in and the reuse of materials gives it a unique look that is not found very often. Furthermore the location is perfect, so all tourist attractions are in walking distance.
The staff is very friendly and we had a lot of good talks.
Also make sure to ask for the cooking experience. It is much fun and is also quite affordable. And the resulting meal was one of the best we had during our stay here in Malaysia :)
When we visit Melaka again, we will most certainly come back to this memorable place.

β β β β β Cozy and kind, nicely decorated. Rooms have window and comfortable beds. Best of Orkid@29 are its owners, they give to the house that special vibe that offer best experience of Melaka. You can also book a cooking class, and enjoy the amazing malaisian gastronomy by first hand in its kitchen.

Hosts offer a daily cooking class which contributes to the local atmosphere, not to mention delicious cuisine. Rooms are small with fans for cooling. Common shower & toilet kept spotless. β β β β β Best guesthouse in town! hosts are warm and friendly that you soon become part of the family. It's clean, tidy, comfortable and with an unique vintage/recycle deco style. The cooking dinner parties are a great opportunity to socialise and meet fellow travellers, and learn some amazing recipes of traditional Malay cuisine. Located just off Jonker street, Orkid 29 is the place to stay! Thanks guys for your hospitality, eternally grateful!!
