Two small bowls of Hakka mee with some fish balls cost $19. Food isn’t great, nothing spectacular. Coffee is below average too.

This corner coffee shop is located at junction of Hugh Low Street & Osborne Road. If you crave for Hakka noodles for breakfast, this is the final destination. The noodles are cooked al dente and the minced pork topping is perfectly marinated and blends well. The tofu and fish / meat balls as side orders make a very satisfying meal. There are quite a number of stalls serving good Hakka noodles in Ipoh like nearby Cathay restaurant (Osborne Road), and out of town centre Seong Kee Hakka Mee restaurant (Kampar Road), Hakka restaurant (Jln. Pasir Puteh) , Hakka restaurant (Lebuh Taman Ipoh), Hakka mee stall @ Taman Timur restaurant (Ipoh Gdn. East). My choice: the Hakka mee @ Paris restaurant is absolutely the best! You would also be satisfied with the good quality coffee drinks served here.

No second time. Small portion of noodle, not cute. Pork smell got strong fishy smell. Rm1 per fish ball. Mark up price with low quality food.

Not coming back here ever. Haven't visited this place for a long time and was really disappointed with the quality and price of their food. Without consulting us they brought 20 pcs of mini fish ball & (which are the commercially bought type) meatball which cost us RM1 each. Tourist price?? The noodles were dry with miserable amount of mince meat and didn't even have any bean sprouts. And oh, horrible coffee n drinks here. And this place was touted as best hakka mee in town. Perhaps they have become complacent. Tourists, don't be fooled. ???

Taste so so to me. The fried items are really horrible so you may just skip it as it is cold and hard. The fish balls and pork balls are still oky but just normal for me. Price is not cheap as well. Genwrally really so so only.

Visited this hakka stall when the famous &  best hakka stall was closed which located few blocks behind. The hakka noodle here slightly over cooked, bring the texture of noodle less chewy and less satisfying bite. With the flavourless minced pork gravy added, bring the entire hakka noodle not very aromatic. The fish and meat balls taste not so good as well. The fried stuff too small in size and taste just average compared to the famous stall. Overall the food here just so so.

Surprisingly, this was only my first visit having driven past this famous restaurant for many years. Not always my fault though because with the best of intentions, many times it was closed or sold out! But this morning they were open for business and I had an opportunity to sample their famous Hakka mee. The dish arrived in three separate bowls with one containing a fried tofu wrapper with taro and water chestnut, then another bowl with soup containing stuffed tofu, meatballs and fish balls and finally, the main bowl of noodles with a generous amount of fried minced pork on top. Once you add a scoop or two of soup and mix up the noodles, it makes for an incredibly delicious dish, with very flavourful minced pork and al dente noodles. The accompanying meatballs and tofu were also very tasty especially when dipped in their homemade chili sauce making for a well balanced meal. Not to be overlooked but their kopi was also very tasty. It was rich and flavorful. All COVID protocols and best practices were strictly observed by all. A great breakfast all in all. Remember to show up early to avoid disappointment as they ALWAYS sell out!
