โ โ โ โ โ Online appointments are totally cancelled. Even if you had an appointment before the announcement of accepting walk-ins, you will need to register online using this QR code. After making online payment of RM200, print a copy of the receipt, enter the office, and follow the process. Make sure you also have the new IC that has a smaller portrait of yourself next to the big one.
I got my passport renewed within an hour.
Staff is friendly and helpful, system is OK lah, not a bad experience. The website in the QR code has this annoying section for uploading photos.
Get a picture of yourself (no specs, earrings, etc.) with a white background (like super totally white). If you're on mobile, make sure to SCROLL TO THE RIGHT, put your face totally in the oval shape, and edit your photo to increase brightness if necessary.
There might also be a small dotted yellow circle, which means there's shadow behind you. Just pandai2 with photo editing.
The photo upload alone took me 15 minutes to do, very annoying, but nothing to do with this office.
People from KL are also coming here, so make sure you settle everything beforehand. No need to take selfie in public for your passport renewal.
side note: this office is facing East, so it's fking panas in the morning.

โ โ โ โ โ After submitting info online, they had called me the next day saying my photo did not fulfilled the specification and asked me to come here for photo retake.
Reaching there, only 15min queue to take photo & thumbprint then another 1hour for passport collection.
8.30am reached and settled at 10.00am.
Overall, service is good and polite.

โ โ โ โ โ Reasonably paced and efficient. Make sure to make your appointment online otherwise no entry. Crowd control and service is good. Staff are friendly. No need to come so early: if appointment at 11 can enter at 11 onwards not before that. Overall, was a pleasant experience dealing with immigration office.

โ โ โ โ โ I needed to renew my passport urgently and this is the only immigration office that has the soonest appointment available.
I managed to collect my passport in less than an hour. Despite it being out of the way, it was totally worth it.
Strictly no walk-ins so make sure you book your appointment online.
Service was good overall expect for one person who I felt wasnโt friendly at all but others were okay including the security guard.

โ โ โ โ โ I am writing this review just to share my experience, so that if you plan to renew your passport here, you have a better picture how the process look like.
This immigration office only accept walk in for the following categories :
- 60 years old and above
- 12 years old and below
- OKU
- Apply new passport
- Replace missing passport
For passport renewal, must renew using online portal.
If you come in group, your children below 12 can walk in, your parents or grand parents above can walk in, but you can't walk in if you don't have the online renewal payment receipt. Just be aware.
I arrived at 8am, wait in the queue then only security guard tell me that online appointment was cancelled and must renew using online portal.
So I go back to my car and try to renew online. After countless of photo upload attempt, finally I get to make payment. Then security guard ask me to print the a physical copy of the payment receipt (luckily the shop opposite provide such service.)
Finally they give me number 61 at 9:21am (although I received email inform me that my uploaded photo was not suitable.), The officer tell me that they will take photo for me.
Just right before their long lunch break (12pm) , I manage to get my new passport.

I see a lot of frustration and anger face, I am one of them. Immigration change policy on 11 may, but allow me to make online appointment on 15 may. After waiting for a month only notice the policy was changed. Of course I am frustrating, but I know yelling at them wouldn't help. Luckily they accept I renew online on the spot.
But all these have nothing to do with the officer in this office. They are helpful and polite. The office space is very limited, 2 counters to collect application and take photo. 1 counter to hand out passport and make payment.
If you come on Friday, just prepare for longer wait of their long lunch break.
After certain number, they will ask you come back after 2:45pm (after their lunch break).

โ โ โ โ โ Came here for the first time on the 15/4/22. I would like to say well done to the officers and the security guard on maintaining the SOP and hygiene. The lady officer Puan Theva and the Security guard were calm and diligent which was so great to watch! They treated each customer well and maintained a well mannered attitude. I was very impressed. Not forgetting the officers at the counter who was very patient and gave us their best! All done in 1 and the half hours! Be early for your appointment.

Only 3 counters available.
Customers should understand their limitations.
Nevertheless, the staff politely answering all the questions. Kudos to them.
And my passport was ready within 45 minutes (initially they said might not be able to issue on same day as I arrived at 4pm......but with their dedication, the passport was issued at 4.45pm)....
Marvellous.
Salute to all Immigration KKB staff.
This is the example of government efficiency.
