β β β β β A good variety of food that comes in the Dulang Set Lunch with Chilli Prawns, Sarawak Stir-Fried Black Pepper Beef, Egg Plant βBerladoβ, Special Papaya & Young Mango Kerabu, Nyonya Pickled Vegetables, Chicken Soup and more.
Love that the dishes are all in mini sizes and you can sample all the different dishes ? Nice ambience.

β β β β β Very disappointed with the level of service at this restaurant. I was staying at Courtyard Penang to attend a wedding of our uni classmates, and I had a severe stomach ache on the day of the event. I could not eat much, and explained to the staff that I could not finish the yogurt but would like to request for plastic to take it to the room so it can help with my digestion to ease the stomach ache, but they outright declined and mentioned we can't let you bring take aways since ALL buffets don't allow takeaways. As a Marriott member, staffs have always been highly trained, hospitable, and courteous - I've never asked to take away items but staffs have always gone above and beyond to ask how was the food, do I need takeaways, etc. Disappointed that the only time I asked due to an unfortunate circumstance, the staff not only displayed lack of empathy but is inhospitable in her response. If they offered for me to pay for it, I'd gladly do so, but the poor manner at which the staff responded really turned me off.

β β β β β Great delicious food. Usually hotel outlet can't really match outside local food like hawker stall or reputable restaurant but Penang Kitchen really has the taste of local Penang food with reasonable price. The perception of hotel food price is always expensive, but not here.

β β β β β Stay at Courtyard Marriott Penang and their breakfast from this restaurant was just average, slow to provide fresh made coffee and spread of the breakfast is limited in choices.

β β β β β We tried the Tom Yam Bihun and Salmon Laksa. Both were simply delicious and freshly made.
Mind you I am not a fan of Penang laksa but how the chef has done it here is really mind blowing. We will come again next visit.
Ended it with the Dark Chocolate Molten Lava. This was the best version we have ever tasted.
HIGHLY recommended.
