β β β β β The staff at the Bail section on the ground floor at the magistrate courts are excellent. Calm, polite and efficient. You could see that they were doing their best despite the pressure.
One thing though - would be much better if bailors are able to open accounts at more banks. At present, only special accounts at the PJ State branches of Bank Islam and Public Bank are accepted. That creates problems, especially when one or both might be suffering some problem or another.
The courts should also come up with a system that is more efficient than opening a special account to be used as collateral. Opening what is essentially a new savings/fixed deposit account takes significant time. Couldn't something like a Bank Draft and such, with a lien/caveat placed, be more efficient? The onus is on the banks to propose something better.

You need to wear professional or atleast appropriate. Some legal attendees or participant roles can be very... fussy...
Make sure you come BEFORE 8am. Always be patience and considerate. You are not the only 'criminal' around to be dealt with ?. Ask the guard where's to refer (building on the right). Make sure you had all the document related, or refer back to local IPD. Depend on the administration, you need to provide your ID at the counter. Or you can check the court's schedule posted opposite the office, right beside payment office. You may find your name and courtroom number. If not, administration will tell you what to do right after you submit your ID and related document at the registration counter.
No one will help you to figure things out there cuz everyone are occupied with their problems! So be nice, and maybe the other will help. Who knows... ?
Registration stop after an hour (about 9am, depend on the crowd). After you get the information needed, you need to get to the courtroom and wait till they call your name to enter. And the rest is: May the Lord be with you at that day...
Chill! However, get ready for a feisty clerk (the person that will read and conduct the case).
After the sentence, go back to registration counter for payment.
Wait!
Yes: they will hold your ID till you pay the 'ransom' (fine). Payment with card (credit or debit) at payment office. Cash at the machine right outside. Yep, different method of payment at different ways! Better with card, cuz it's gonna cost your mental health to figure out how to use the cash machine ?!
After that, submit your resit at registration counter and redeem back your ID.
In order to clear your name faster, you need to submit back the proof of payment at the IPD, where you get your ticket at the first place.
