I came on a Saturday morning. I booked an appointment 3 days in advance and the slots are quite free. I was contemplating to use a runner due to the uncertainly of the process. It would cost about RM180 for facilitating the inspection and the inspection cost. The cost of inspection is RM30. My appointment is 8:30am. So, off I go. I arrived at Puspakom at 7:50am. Just to make sure I have enough time for uncertainly. As I turned into the side street, there were heavy vehicles lining up. Note that inspection for private cars has a different line. Use the left lane and drive straight till you see the Puspakom main entrance. Turn in and park your car in the queue. It may be better to ask the security guard which line to queue; that's what I did. As my appointment is 8:30 am, my checking in with the bar code (provided once appointment is booked) is only open around 8:10 - 8:15am. I was told of this by the guard. I found the flow of the process can be improved. Example, the bar code scanner is on the other side of the queue. Once I'm in the queue the process is smooth. I passed through a booth to receive the inspection receipt and forms for the inspector. Place the form and the vehicle owner certificate on the dash board. Once my turn, the inspector started with the window tint check. After that, I handed over the car to them for further checks and I walked to the waiting area, which is at the other end of the inspection lane. The process took about 15 mins. I was called by the inspector when the car is ready to be driven out to the car park while waiting for th results. Note: check your form B7 before you leave as there may be typo at times. I was a bit luckiky as there is a runner who guide me though the process. His vehicle is just behind me. After going through this exercise, I don't think anyone need a runner unless you don't have the time.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! I don’t understand why they don’t make the system easier for people to convert their driving licenses. They only take 20 people in the morning, so imagine the madness! When I arrived at 6:50am the main gate haven’t opened yet. People already started queueing. When they opened the gate at 7am people started running to queue inside. There’s no SOP at all!! Everyone wanted to be the first 20 to make it. No worker was here to give direction to people. It’s complete madness! This is my 2nd day queueing, I don’t know if I can make today’s batch of 20. Oh btw the worker only told people that they would only take the first 20 people at 8am yesterday, after the long queue had formed. A very SIMPLE solution to get people to register before coming in would suffice to solve this problem.

The queries are long and there is no proper parking space. Will never come here again.

Well, it took me an hour and a half to get my 5 minutes inspection. I went in for a voluntary inspection of the car after repairs were made due to an accident. No structural damage was inspected. All they did was a visual check and that was it. Then the checked the suspensions and brakes and exhaust emission. What they could severely improve was their communication. They assumed I've been here many times, hence their communication with me was curt. Signage was bad. I waited in a queue that was wrong until another kind driver told me to get into his lane, which was the correct lane. I am glad simple courtesy is still alive. Overall, I guess the main intent of this agency is to check on exhaust emissions. And nothing else.

Appointment for tukar hak milik (b5) at 5pm on a Thursday. It was a quick process but for a first timer can be quite confusing on what are the SOP's. For me after asking around, was told to go to drive to Counter/Lane 3, at the gate, present the VOC card and IC, drive to the inspection bay, from there on I was told to switch off ignition but leave the keys there and open the car hood, the Puspakom guys will take over from there. I just need to wait at the exit and collect my VOC back later. The results of the inspection will be emailed to the registered email address.

Hot, if your vehicle don't have good air-conditioning. Waiting time is long, so bring a power bank.
