★ ★ ★ ★ ★ History mentioned that this building was burned down during the 1970s. After much restoration in 1993, this theatre introduce the first digital sound processor system with the release of Jurassic Park, thus gaining back its glory.
Since then, it hs join the remaining few classic cinemas in the country for 25 years before totally ceased operations in 2002.
I'm glad to discover yet another BookXcess in this iconic building.
Chinatown Petaling Street, Central Market (Pasar Seni) is just few minutes walk away. Do come and explore if you're in Kuala Lumpur.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was the place to watch the latest movie in the 1990s. It has now been abandoned and became a weekend market called #RexKL for obvious reason. It has a flower market when I was here and a DJ spinning old motown hits. People were hanging around reminiscing of the good old day. I remembered watching Jurassic Park movie here as it has the only Dolby surround system in Kuala Lumpur. Now, it may be revived as a new hangout place for the hipster crowd
