β β β β β The best ever fried rice and kway teow in town. Pork free and welcomed by Muslim. Price is very reasonable and plenty of parking at the backstreet, and one more thing, the boss is very talkative.

β β β β β Love this place. Friendly owners and lots of stories. Shop was started by their father in 1960. Now being run by 3 brothers and a friend. Hokkein Mee, Char Keow Teow and Cantonese Fried Yee Mee is fantastic. This is a Halal Restaurant. Many Malay regular customers.

β β β β β There's a nice home cook food within this coffee shop. I personally like the way they cook like the food serving form home. Price range is average and the atmosphere was great in the sense of art, the heritage culture of Malaysia. You will probably eating beside some old school taylor shop, a nice mix local culture experience.
Pls do discover the back end of the restaurant and you'll find some very cool bicycle cafe. It was almost hidden behind the restaurant.

β β β β β Quick back-story : I discovered 'mun fan' pretty recently. And the first time I had it, I didn't like it. Pretty bland for my liking. BUT, the uncles at Sang Wot managed to change my view about this simple dish.
The one I had here is just enough flavourful and the portion is generous, even for a Small. Told them about this and they said, they re-adjusted the portioning based on the feedback of their regulars. Ah, owners who actually listened to the people, is always good in my book.
Will come back to try their other dishes as well.

β β β β β Old school restaurant is always worth exploring. Run by three siblings, I was surprised by the Fried Kuey Teow they had even without pork lard. Amazed wf the penang style char Kuey teow (less of the dark soy sauce used).
Will definitely come back and try other food at this place.. Impressed with the slowness feel of the shop, real sang wot ηζ΄» in the middle of the busy city

β β β β β A charming place with warm service. Both the chinese uncles were friendly with smiles and very attentive. I ordered Char Kuey Tiao. The taste was awesome but missing detail flavors that you will never get from using normal chicken sausages. Itβs then i realised after looking at other patrons. There were muslim patrons as well here.
So, i think this place should be halal. If that is correct, then this CKT is one of the best Halal CKT iβve ever had. The wok hei is there. Plus, the price at this location is very very reasonable. I plan to bring my muslim friends here next time to try all the authentic chinese dishes they usually never get to try.
