★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to Desaru for a short holiday over Christmas and decided to try the Christmas lunch here at Sea. Fire. Salt. What a wonderful restaurant next to a beach! It is part of the Anantara Desaru Resort. They serve really nice beef burger and our kids enjoyed their spaghetti bolognese and fish fingers too. Shout out to their staff for their friendly and tip top service! Especially a lady called Racheal that went out of her way out to get some gifts for our kids when they’ve missed Santa prior. Plus, their beach is so clean and the kids really enjoyed the waves too! Will definitely come to stay at the resort in the future!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good resort, good swimming pool but restaurant service is slow and bad. Food quality is not good but very highly priced.
Many small flies sticking to leg, why no fan to blow them away?
Looks like management does not really think how to improve their F&B service.

We had a perfect night, happy tummy with sumptuous valentine’s degustation 6 course menu accompanied with wine pairing, a much needed breezy relaxing view, and impeccable service from the moment we stepped in the resort. Overall is no question = ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn't quite meet our expectations for the price point. Wagyu steak while decent, lacked that nice sear and deeper flavor. Sauces that accompanied the steak also did not meet our expectations, an apple balsamic jus that tasted like brown sauce. We also had the seared scallops which were not fresh and lacked flavor too. The one saving grace was the yellow fin tuna loin which is something I would come back for. Thankfully the ambience and quality of service from the servers made up for a better experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very wonderful experience during our CNY break. Lovely staff, amazing view! Nice facilities too. Food taste was good.The food presentation was great. It was fanciful, for sure. But tastewise, not wildly flavourful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent restaurant at Anantara Desaru that we ate there on 2 consecutive days. Loved that the restaurant is right by the beach, food was a little expensive but the quality of the food justifies the price. Had their grilled Angus Ribeye, Seared Tuna, Halibut Fillet and Roasted Deboned Spring Chicken. All were delicious.

The seafood platter @ rm480 was quite a let down. It was quite salty & some pieces has burnt smell.
The tomahawk was quite good & you are requested to choose the type of knife for yr steak… quite impressive
The staff missed out the discount & requires to wait for 3-4 weeks for the refund ??
